Sounds like thermostat is starting to fail, will be more noticeable in the winter for obvious reasons
Seemingly there's a blockage in the radiator. I'll have to wait and see if it can be unblocked or if it'll need replaced.

Radiator replaced. Now the resistor has gone for the heater
Dez is a contrary little git these days. Having not worked all week, I was feeling cold and turned the fan to 4 for a blast of heat on a few occasions today and then on about the dozenth time doing so, speeds 1 - 3 of the heater fan suddenly started working again! Now wondering what the glitch was.
