I've booked my Punto into DBS Desira in Bury St Edmunds for some warranty work. The service department have just given me a 1.1 Panda Active as a courtesy car, I love it! It's quicker than my 1.2 8v Punto! I'm thinking about trading in my 54 Reg Punto for one. I doubt DBS would give me a sight for it though. Oh well, we can all dream.....

You should get a decent price for your Punto if you bought from them as well. All you can do is ask and see. I've have one over a Punto without a seconds thought.

I brought the Punto from Priory. I doubt DBS would want to do a deal with me beings it's not their car. The reason I went to DBS, is because Priory are crap. And I will never buy another car from them ever :D

Bad time to sell, in the first year your car will be losing shedloads, also with a new Punto being due next year you maybe surprised just how much it will have lost. Keep it a couple of years at least unless you can afford to change it!

1979 GS850 nuovapanda?

Dont suppose you have a spare front brake master brake cylinder (round type) lying about ;).Also does yours eat outside(1&4)sparkplugs

Ooops better keep this for the Suzi forums :p

I had a 1.1 Active as a courtesy car when my Punto JTD went in for a service last year and I loved every second of driving it. As has been said, despite being 5bhp down (and a similar weight) it is much quicker than a 1.2 8v Punto. It rode very well, handled well, was amazingly refined and comfy to drive (despite me being 6ft 4ins.). My car is in for a service next Friday so I am hoping to get another Panda then!

Sad to notice that according to the new brochure the multijet can't be purchased with either sky-roof or air conditioning although the Fiat website configurator does let you choose these options. Does anyone have a multijet in the UK with either option?

Also noticed the sub-woofer can no longer be purchased on it's own and the Panda Dynamic 'Sound' model has disappeared from the price list. You can only get the sub-woofer as part of a pack that includes MP3 player, C.d. autochanger (which is useless with an MP3 player) and Remote controls all for the rather large sum of £550

And the 4x4 has only got a 6.5 gallon fuel tank, and on the basis it's economy is awful (you will struggle to get 40mpg) then it is a brave person who does more than 200 miles between fill-ups

The Panda range has been streamlined a bit, I had a 1.2 Eleganza as a loan car recently and it had Active seat trim and no height adjustment on the drivers seat! The biggest let down with the diesel is the omition of it in Eleganza trim. I wouldnt buy one in standard Dynamic trim and to spec it up costs a fortune. Abroad the diesel is available in the top trim level.
