Hi

I've had my little panda for a few months now and I love it! However, I get bored very quickly and I'm thinking about making some changes to Trevor.

Trouble is; I don't really know what I want to do. I'm not a fan of garish bodykits - prefer to keep it fairly subtle.

Plans on the credit card hitlist are:

-Lower Shocks (as low as possible)
-Carbon Effect roof (plan to just use the transfer film)
-Powdercoating wheels (not sure what colour???)

Any other suggestions? I haven't seen any modified 100hp's, so I'm lacking ideas!

Here's a couple of pictures so that you know what I'm working with:

Thanks in advance! :D

I think a carbon effect roof will look awful.

Dampers (note that 'shocks' is not the correct term) do not lower the car, springs do.

You could fit lowering springs but the ride is pretty harsh anyway so I'm not convinced that it will be anything other than an aesthetic improvement (in the eyes of some).

I guess you could powdercoat your wheels. On a blue car white could be quite funky I guess. Might be worth experimenting with photoshop first.

For other suggestions you could fit an airfilter and cat back exhaust I guess. It might make it feel more exciting, though don't expect anything significant in respect of power gains.

You could also look at side stripes like the Abarth has, but please don't be naff and fit 'Abarth' type ones. I did ages ago look at having 'Panda 100hp' down the sides in the same font as the Panda badges. Reckon that could look good.

Maybe white wheels and white stripes may actually look quite good, though it will be fairly bold.

Thanks for the advice mate. Seem to be a few cars about with black roofs at the moment - I quite like it, but mainly on white cars.

My main reservation about changing dampers and springs was making the ride even harsher - I thought about some coil clamps - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Coil-Spring-C...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item414fe0614f - but I'm not sure how much I tust them?

Might have a play on photoshop with white stripes/wheels

My suggestions..

Silver front indicators and upgrade the headlight and sidelight bulbs
Abarth or red Fiat badges
Italian style number plates

Simple, not overly expensive to do but effective

Hi Ryan :)

Your 100HP looks mighty fine and very clean [I wish that mine did right now!]

I have added a couple of badges: https://www.fiatforum.com/panda/238039-abarth-badges.html

I've also looked into having a black roof and I'm in the process of having a couple of things done in the meantime [watch this space]. Personally, having seen the latest 3M carbon fibre film, I would say go for it - from what I've seen, vinyl wrap can look very effective.

If you must lower it, why not go for a set of KW coilovers and do the job properly. Yes, more expensive, but the springs and dampers should at least be matched.

Ragazzon exhaust

Abarth badges

Looking forward to seeing the results!

It's fine as it is. Use your money to fill the tank and DRIVE it

It's much better than standing looking at it ;)

Thanks for more good suggestions guys - think I'm going to go ahead with the carbon wrap on the roof, lower springs (for now as the full kits are too pricey), some aparth shields for the fromt wings (thanks Ian!).

Also quite fancy white powdercoated wheels and two thin white off centre stripes (quite like the italian flag colours, but I don't think it would work on blue). I've seen the stripes on some diesel multijet pandas I think, so I'm sure I could get those straight from Fiat??

Does anyone think the stripe coupled with the carbon roof would be overkill?

The roof won't be that obvious on a blue car - go for it, I say!

I think that the Italian flag colours would work - think about what colour shirts their football team play in.

The stripes you have seen are on the Panda MJ 'Sporting'.

Lowering springs - If you dont mind the rough ride go for it.

Looks better and no lift from front when accelerating and no nose diving under braking. As for cornering i have yet to manage to get the bounce yet either.

Abarth shields do look good here is mine with both the additions:

Sounds like you know more about them than me...what's the down sides?

Well it's an absolute bodge really. For one thing you will increase the spring rate, but you won't know by how much. Also the 100hp is pretty close to the bumpstops to start with so you really haven't got that much to play with.

Spring clamps can come off, really don't entertain it any further. If you must put lowering springs on buy a set as springs tend not to be that expensive really.

There is a guy on her Stu D, who let EVO put lowering springs on, but the results were not really considered an improvement IIRC.

Also if you do put springs on you'll need to re-do the geo setup as it'll throw it out.

I still love my springs - kind of got used to them now - the cornering is definitely sharper, it is just the rears sit on the bumpstops and I really need to look into this.

At the moment, I have just lost all interest in cars though - so not something I will be looking at in the immediate future

I'm planning to do a few upgrades to my Panda 100HP.
Maybe I can give you any ideas.

Upgrades planned for this year.

- FK suspension upgrade (Yellow Koni dampers included)
- Ragazzon cat back with straight middle section and group N rear damper.
- BMC CDA airbox
- Different set of rear speakers (Kicker KS 65.2 coaxial set)
- Fiat 500 wipers (June 7th)

Upgrades later on.

- new exhaust manifold 4-2-1 including sport cat (because de-cat is not allowed)
- matt black powdercoat for my current rims
- New set of 100HP rims in matt black with a light blue(Fiat Blue) pinstripe on the edge wrapped with Yokohama A048 semi slicks in a hard compound.
- eventually different cams
- Chiptuning, after 4 years of guarantee
- Brake upgrade to drilled disks and slightly softer pads
- Carbonfiber mirror plates from dragonflyfiber.

And if I win the lottery:worship:, I will fit a tuned Grande Punto esseesse engine with around 230hp.

Upgrades already done.

- Sony CDX-GT710 headunit includig iPod/iPhone interface and brodit cradle
- Kicker KS 65.2 compo set in front (tweeters placed in the plastic piece on the inside of the side mirrors
- Pioneer 400W RMS amp
- Hertz HX250 10" subwoofer
- Philips Silverline front indicators
- Philips X-Treme power headlights
- Carpoint antracite rear indicators
- Yokohama S-drives on my current rims
