My panda 100hp passed 23k on it's goodyear tyres. Changed them for some cheap kumo runaways £95 a pair fitted. My old tyre wear was uneven with 2mm most places except the very inside down to the banding inside the tyre i.e threadbare. The car has never had its tracking altered or hit any thing. This happened on my Multipla. I'm guessing the way fiat set them up it steers well with accuracy but excessive inside tyre wear. On my Multipla I altered the tracking to 0 deg but this made the steering vague require lots of constant wheel movement to stay on track. Any one else had inside tyre wear?

This is a common problem.

Have a search to view some past threads.

It becuase the car is set up with a slight negative camber from the factory.

23K from the F1s is pretty impressive! :worship:

Driving around with the banding showing is not ! :D

You say you haven't hit anything but constant traversing speed humps, particularly the chcolatte block sqaure type ones will gradually knock your geometry out. They are set up for improved steering response, but don't assume thats the full reason for the inside edge wear

The 100hp tyre wear issue has been very widespread, even on cars with 'perfect' geometry set-ups....

My F1s were worn out at 16K....Toyos managed almost the same....

No driving with the banding showing is clearly not good, but even 20K from the F1s would be good....

I bought my HP with 18k on the clock from a non-Fiat dealer. The car went through a pre-delivery inspection and i drove away. 10 days later i suffered a blow out from both front tyres being down to the cords!

dealer paid for a new set of tyres and sorted a 4 wheel alignment.

6500 miles later, both fronts bald on the inside again.

4 wheel alignment checked and nothing out of line.

Camber is aggressive but cannot be adjusted! Fiat set the car up to handle well, but not set up with the customer's wallet in mind!

Bit of a thread ressurection there!

thought I'd mention it as so many people seem to have wear problems as does our 1.2 which again on 10000 miles seems to be wearing the fronts out much quicker than the 100hp.
Must give a quick plug to the cheapo Lidl trolley jack which for the 12 quid or whatever it cost was a great buy and much easier to handle than my other ancient one, also ice hockey pucks, fantastic for going between trolley jack and jacking points and very cheap on ebay.
