Cheers, I use those sterile tablets you get for babys bottles , they leave a nasty taste though. :yuck:

Yeah you can cram alot in a Mule.

the stuff above is used to clean brewing equipment and once rinsed leaves no flavor behind and can remove the chlorine tant you get with other sterilizing solutions and miltons

"Sodium Metabisulfite
'Sodium Met' is probably the most familiar 'no-rinse' sanitiser to homebrewers. It is sold as a white powder in all homebrew shops and most supermarkets that carry a range of brewing ingredients, and it is found in most starter kits. Unfortunately, it is one of the worst sanitisers available now that so many better alternatives exist.
Sodium Met is slow to act and often used ineffectively. To use it properly, dissolve the sodium metabisulfite in the correct amount of water, as directed by the instructions, rinse all surfaces with the solution and allow to air dry. Drying is essential because this is when the sodium metabisulfite does its thing. It does not kill bacteria outright but it inhibits the growth of wild yeast. The fumes are highly irritating (particularly to asthmatics) and should not be inhaled.
It does have other uses around the brewery though. Sodium Met (as powder or in the form of Campden tablets) is sometimes added to wine or cider to halt the fermentation process before it is complete, to leave some residual sweetness in the must. It is also effective in purging chlorine AND the more stubborn chloramines from brewing water, and some brewers add a pinch or two to the mash, in the belief that it protects against certain undesirable reactions and helps to preserve the finished beer. It is also useful as a way of sanitising water to use for rinsing other cleaning or sanitising products."

Camel baks well worth the money. Spare tube and tool kit can also be carried

My bike fits in the car and with all wheels off I can also take a passenger. Something to consider before investing in a rack.

I don't really want to take the wheels off everytime, at the moment it fits if I take one wheel off but then the front seat has to be pushed right forward. Just hassle plus it means I can't take a passenger and minimal luggage.

I will probably end up getting two racks for the top in any case :)

Here we go - both the gear cables under that frame, plus the hydraulic rear-brake line the other side

Will that cause an issue with clamping?

shouldnt cause an issue clamping the gear cables won't do any harm just pull the brake hose to the side when you tighten the clamp

(might cause a scuff to the bikes paint with the cables rubbing on it tho if that bothers you google- (just riding along helicopter tape)

just dragging this up again.. I'm having to buy a roof mount for the main car, and might as well make it panda compatible. has anyone used anything other than the thule 591 (with the cheaper roof bars that don't use side rails)?? it does seem the perfect option, but not cheap. thanks for any advice.

Not tried it yet on the 100HP, but I have used a Saris Bones on a couple of other cars.

Would you happen to know of a roof box that's compatible with these bars?

Yesterday I fitted the fiat roof bars with a Thule 591 bike rack (which seems a quality piece of kit) to the 100hp. Seems a great set up, and not horrendously expensive.
This is exactly what I'm doing right now.

Got brand new roof rails for 50quid on ebay and now looking for the thules

May as well add to this, perhaps should have read all the pages as my answer might be in there. This is my first post. Just signed up. Hi. Got two Panda's. Love'em! I know I'll get a third before I'm done.

I have Fiat horizontal roof bars for my 07 Panda 4x4 (as I want to mount a cycle rack direct, not to bars on top of longitudinal rails. Too much of a sandwich).

Anyways, old bars off. New all set to fit but I will either snap/bend the plastic or put a screwdriver through my hand unless someone can give me a tip on how to get the plastic covers off the bar feet to access the bolt holes etc. Please. Thank you. Can do pictures if you’re not sure the bits I'm referring to.

Leaving my original post there as a monument to “woods for the trees” vision. Saw the slot for a screwdriver and thought the covers levered off. No joy. Asked my son, who pointed me to the large allen key bolt in the back and said that might have something to do with it!

Don't do emoji's but I'll make an exception...
