If I remember rightly in the owners handbook it said my 1.1 Active Eco takes 10W40 engine oil.However I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations on the brand of oil I should use.Or even tell me what oils I should avoid using.I remember with one of my old cars it was recommended not to use Castrol oil as it had a high ash content.However my R5 GT loved the Castrol RS engine oil.I was thinking about using Castrol Magatec oil to top up the engine.I know Fiat recommend using a brand of oil ive never even heard of.I guess I could get it from the service department but I bet it would cost a fortune.

The oil that FIAT recommend is their own...............TUTELA JARAMA 10-40 a semi synth product.
I read someplace here on a thread that a local FIAT dealer was doing 5 Ltr a t a reasonable price............so I checked with mine (MILL LANE@ Aldershot)
and their price was £30 plus VAT.

I got 5 Ltrs from Shop 4 parts, for a very pocket pleasing sum of £13.93p

I heard somewhere that millers is a decent brand not widely available though.
