After 6 weeks of ownership of my 1.1, which i think is a spot on little motor, some moronic twunt has opened there door into one of my rear doors putting a nasty dent in it.

It's all i can see every time i walk up to the car.

The dent looks like it might possibly "pop" out if pushed from behind, has anyone ever tried this?

A few other obsevations
1. I find the driving position extremely comfortable and with the adjustable steering wheel can easily see all the controls etc.

2. What the chuff is the city button for the car is virtually unusable with it depressed.

3. Fuel economy is excellent even when the engine is being given a permanent "Italian tune up".

4. The radio on/off is perhaps the most annoying function i've come across on any car i've owned.

5.Don't buy a Garmin Satnav (off topic i know but just some advice)

6. Headlights excellent

7. Heater absolutely first class.

8. Tyres seem a bit noisy

9. That's all folks.

2. What the chuff is the city button for the car is virtually unusable with it depressed. Never use the damn thing, the steerings light enough as it is

3. Fuel economy is excellent even when the engine is being given a permanent "Italian tune up". It's brilliant at economy

4. The radio on/off is perhaps the most annoying function i've come across on any car i've owned. I've replaced it for a Sony HU with USB support (y)

5.Don't buy a Garmin Satnav (off topic i know but just some advice) I've a Navman

6. Headlights excellent boosted with Osram Nightbreakers

7. Heater absolutely first class. yep

8. Tyres seem a bit noisy I've heard worse

9. That's all folks.

Welcome to the forum and Panda ownership, have fun and enjoy :D

It might be worth pushing your dent out from behind but I would consider the guys who pull it out which prevents all the problems of damaging the door liner and its retaining poppers plus the polythene liner.
Try Dentdevils, Dentmagic etc.

The City Button adds extra power to the power sterring. Not much advantage untill you get into narrow bendry city roads where you are doing a lot of manovering quickly and then it does make things easier.

Can nobody read a map anymore?

A quick glance at a map, then jot down when to turn left or right on the back of an envelope (think recycling/carbon footprint), sorted. (y)

Sat navs. (n)

I find holding open map book and reading it at 80mph a bit of an inconvenience to be honest

Ordinance survey maps are worse, they block the entire windscreen...

:p

After using a Tom Tom for 4 years i don't like the cutesy display of the Garmin. The tyre noise aint a patch on some other cars especially the Focus.
I always find a map and a scribbled on envelope when navigating through London a bit of a pain.

It's also way more comfortable than an Aygo. I was in one for a 300 mile drive. Was so glad to get out of it and get rid of it at the end of the drive... :p

I'm a map user too, although I seldom am anywhere that I need to get directions...

I actually find that I have the ability to remember pretty well once having looked at a map.

Problem with sat navs is that you don't learn your way round and end up relying on it.

The other annoyance is that you have to listen to a very annoying voice telling you what to do.

No thanks, banned from my cars.

MrsP swears blind the CITY button increases the amount of available lock no matter what I say! :bang:

I don't know what you mean by the radio on/off function....?

As for the SatNav debate, I'd say they're great if you are on unfamiliar ground, not really necessary if you aren't....Never felt the urge for one I must admit, but I see how they can be useful. :)

I've got a TomTom 730. It's a useful tool but I always check my maps before a journey I haven't done before. You know in plenty of time which lane to be in on the motorway and on roundabouts on A roads. It's got bluetooth for phone hands free so doubly useful.

Agreed - also, here in Devon there are numerous cases of huge vehicles using unsuitable small lanes under the instructions of a satnav, including one where a lorry was lodged in a lane overnight.
