Well all I can say is Good Luck to you am pleased that you are getting
your new motor after probably a long wait.
I am still waiting on mine appears stuck on the dock somewhere in fiat dockland wherever that is.. Think it must be in fairy land or some mythical place in time and space..
I really do believe that Fiat dealers Fiat themselves and estate agents get all the bad publicity they certainly work hard to get.
It would appear that dealers and customers in London get the last of the deliveries and probaly pay the highest prices..
It really takes the shine of what should be a pleasant purchase. Its been years since I had a new Fiat and even if the 100Hp proves to be the bees knees its unlikely I will ever contemplate another Fiat.. Been told lie upon lie for the last 4 weeks re delivery..

Sorry jakelleo that you haven't got a delivery date yet, but i'm sure it will soon be there, keep ringing the dealers every day and get on their nerves you might get a result.

I must admit that I am really pleased that everyone appears to be taking delivery of ordered Pandas all versions it would appear.

But I am still not.

Been onto Fiat Slough and getting loads of phone calls but all useless.

Latest one said I would get the car last Friday or Monday...
And here we are Tuesday.. Fiat Slough phoned again today and said they
dont understand why I dont have the 100hp..

What a way to run a railway.. If Fiat Slough dont known whats going on
what chance has the dealer .

If it were'nt for the fact I wanted a narrow small car I would walk away from this stitch up and get the Renault Twingo RS.

Re: Finally got a pick up Date .......

Hi jakelleo

Sorry you still haven't heard of a delivery date for your car.

The only problem if you did cancel the panda and went for the renault twingo (which is a very nice car, but only 3 doors, we had a look at one of those before we went to have a look for the panda) you will probably have another 12 weeks to wait, when i picked the car up on monday they said that there is now a 12 week wait for the panda's, due to the scrappage deal coming in to force and of the credit crunch they had none made, so they are being made to order.

I ordered my car on the 2nd may they told me 8 weeks and it was 8 weeks, glad i ordered when i did, but it is worth waiting for.

Hope you hear soon.

Louise

Re: Finally got a pick up Date .......

The twingo is only 3 inches wider, why don't you just get that if you're in a position to do so? It's a better car after all.....

Angry Re: Finally got a pick up Date .......

Had a good reason for picking on the 100hp Panda. Am living in central London as a starter. This is my penultimate car before leaving London and moving into a country environment when I will be getting a BMW 330d Se as my final car i will then be over 70 years old and the size will not be a factor..
The extra three inches is a smallish but important feature but 5 doors is vital.
The 100hp is slightly mad but the Twingo 133Rs is madder still and
I dont want any more points on my driving licence its hard enough at my age with the 100hp insurance in central London.
So thats the issue, will just have to wait on Fiat, as its not impossible that it will turn up this, next week. It was ordered and confirmed as mine in April so we shall see what we see in the next week or so.

Re: Finally got a pick up Date .......

Delivery has been held up due to hail storm damage in Antwerp Port to cars shipped to us in the last 2/3 weeks.

A number of cars were held back for a detailled bodywork check.
Mine was one of the.. They claim its ok and will be with my dealer next Tuesday and delivery to me on Wednesday..

All I can say is I am going to take my magnifing glass with me and if I see
the slightest mark on it, the car will be rejected..

Looks as if I am going to get that Renault Twingo Rs 133 afterall..
(Maybe not.. We shall see what we see)

WHAT

I test drove a Twingo and was appauled! As per usual the French cannot convert cars from LHD to RHD properly

And its a French car, and they don't do it in auto

Depends on the model, I've driven one of the bog basic ones and it's not up to much.

The RS Twingo is a better package than the 100HP though. It's more expensive, granted, so you'd expect it to be better and the cost difference isn't representative of the difference in ability but in my opinion, and taking cost out of the equation, it's the one I'd choose.

I have to admit. I do like the look of the Twingo though. Neighbour over the road has one.

The best looking Twingo is the earlier one

You know the one, the one Renault wouldn't import
