I've a multijet dynamic aircon model panda 58 reg and was wondering if anyone knows where the pollen filter is located. I am having 12k service done soon and want to lets say have a look see if they've replaced it when they say they have!!

Thanks!!

look by your feet, behind the steering column......then cry your heart out, it uses 5.5mm bolts to hold it in, is a total cock to get at, remove an get a new one in, and will skin your knuckles all the way.......:bang::bang::bang::bang:

In the uk there are CDM regulations which cover construction design and maintenance. You would think that things would be fitted in order that maintenance can be carried out easily on a filter! Thats an hour's labour charge at the garage! lol. Thanks anyway.

The problem RHD cars have is that when the cars were designed (to be LHD) the bloody steering column wasn't in the way! It's an easy job on a LHD Panda, but, as Jai says, a total cock on a RHD car!

:D ah yes the memories - best bet is a 1/4 rachet and very long extension from the accelerator pedal area - loosen the screws but take them out by hand so not to lose them behind the carpet ;)

one advantage of getting the non-aircon car!
Another, I see is that you can't actually get blown air without turning the aircon on. I'm glad I went for the simple no frills version.

Can you expand on this?

With climate you can do all the bits manually if required: recycle, choice of air distribution and fan speed, air con compressor available or switched off.

There's also a huge range of combinations of auto and manual elements to it too.

Pardon me, but what kind of nonsense is this?
Obviously, since aircon compressor is just a separate switch + coil, you get all features of non-aircon ventilation/heating system + optional cooling/drying.

errr... well, its only what I experienced! On the non-climate control cars there is no button to turn on the aircon, and when you turn the dial from 0 to 1 the light engages. Thus I couldn't have air without the aircon.

Am I missing something? I thought a separate switch would have been a good idea, but perhaps it was hidden somewhere? As it is, there is a small but measurable load that increases mpg, just like having headlights on.

I just used the rotary switch normally as I did in my basic car. The light came on and I thought "ooh, aircon!". No obvious signs of how I might be able to turn it off.... it looked exactly the same as mine with no other logos.
