Just before the 6,000 mile warranty from the dealer runs out the Panda pulls a fast one.

When leaving work in the evening the clutch pedal would stick down, and after a kick up or two would operate correctly, so I took it in last Tuesday.

They stripped down the pedal assembly, checked everything (including the master / slave cylinders) and regreased as they assembled it back.

She was as good as gold until this morning (yep 30 mile OUT of warranty) :bang::mad:

The pedal was a right pain in the harris until the car was fully warmed up, however it did manage to humour me by behaving itself tonight when I left work.

She's going back in on Thursday, so please forgive me if the car isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread at the moment.

I always plant the pedal to the floor when changing gear, I know then the clutch is disengaged.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that.

You mght be lucky hough as the 'fault' was present and looked into prior to the warranty ending.

Worth a try maybe, but good luck all the same.

It was originall y reported before the warranty expired, and they did have a go, going to push for the attempt failing and the issue wasn't fixed.

Ho hum working thursday is going to interesting, instead of a lunch break will be having two garage breaks :D :D

And just my luck the dealer is about 15 mile away :bang::bang:

I quote FIAT literature: "All genuine Fiat parts are guaranteed for 12 months, or the duration of the prevailing warranty on the vehicle, as are repairs carried out by any Fiat dealer using genuine parts". Statements like this are usually followed by the qualifying statement: "Whichever is the greatest". This
needless to say doesn't. This is open to interpretation as if there were 2 years left on the warranty this should mean the repair and parts are guaranteed for 2 years, but there is some ambiguity here, nonetheless, the repair should be good for 12 months. The above statement is to be found on Technical Specification sheets accompanying FIAT brochures.
