Can anyone tell me if the Panda clutch pedal is damped in some way?

It's hard to describe, but if I depress the clutch fully and then quickly take my foot off there is a delay in the pedal coming up. Only a split second but there.

All other cars I've driven it seemed to be instantaneous. Let go and bang comes straight up.

I've checked the small hydraulic fluid container on the left side of engine (from the front) and it seems to be full to the brim, not between min and max. Could this be the problem?

If anyone knows it would be a big help.

310 miles on the clock by the way, so warranty job if necessary

Cheers

Bit of a daft one...

But do you have mats? and is the clutch pedal sticking on it?

Has happened before...

No I've checked the mats, all fine.:)

It sort of releases 70% and then goes slower to the top.

Suggestive of hydraulics to me.

Same. Although not so much that there was a delay in it coming up, more that it just wasn't coming up at all. Frightened the life out of me, thought I'd done something stupid.

What was the outcome for you motslih?

It's was the mats I'd just bought. It had trapped the clutch pedal when I depressed it, leaving me wondering why I wasn't moving and where my clutch pedal had gone!

I'd recommend getting yours looked at as there isn't any damping on the clutch.
