I would like to lower the Panda's brake pedal a tad. It's quite high and uncomfortable. I have adjusted the throttle to its lowest setting which is much better than it was. I have looked at the convoluted linkage that transfers the brake pedal action from the rhs to the lhs of the car, but can't see any adjustable linkages.

ANyone got any ideas?

Thanks
Bert

PS new here!

Hi and welcome Bert!

Firstly I didn't even know the throttle was adjustable!

Secondly I'm sure someone on here will know if the brake pedal is also adjustable....

Thanks for the welcome Daz!

To adjust the throttle you take off the air filter housing (2 bolts and the springy clip) and the throttle cable end has a clip on that can be taken off and put on in a different position. Works well.

Just need to find the same for the brake!

good point, fortunately, my not so glamorous assistant helped me check! Still get WOT with the pedal well clear of the floor.

Fortunately, pressing the throttle has little effect. Well it's fortunate for Bert Jr who is learning to drive!

on the base model, it's a common-or-garden throttle operating the butterfly and throttle pot.

The brake pedal on my Eleganza was always high, when it went in for its first service they told me there was a problem with it. I think it was the brake master cylinder which was faulty . Anyway they changed it and it was alot lower after that.

While i was waiting for the part to arrive they fitted a bolt on it which stopped it coming up two high after braking. So if you master cylnder isnt faulty see if they can do that, it cetainly worked.

excellent info, thanks. It's got to have a service soon, I'll ask.
