I see that FIAT list the Panda door tweeters at just under £5 each plus VAT (51746394).

Custard has already told us that the wiring is already in place for fitting a boot light (a la Eleganza/Emotion)

Has anyone who has taken the front door trim off an MJ know if there is any spare wiring already there for the tweeters? (or electric door mirrors?)

I'd like to know this too... Wouldn't mind having tweeters installed in mine too.

And I wouldn't mind having electic wing mirrors just for the heating and clearing convenience in the winter. My question is why could you not get them without air con? and if you installed them afterwards, could you still get them to heat? I'm not that concerned about moving them - I'm happy to leave my morrors in the one position.

Yes, that would be nice! Now all we have to do is find someone with the knowledge to tell us what is there!

I have fitted aftermarket tweeters to my 100HP and I found no spare speaker wire for tweeters.
And I don't think you'll find the wires for the electric mirrors either.
Are you sure you can't order the electric mirrors without aircon? In Denmark we can, but we can't order climate control or dualogic without electric mirrors.

Yes that was a definite. I initially ordered mine with electric mirrors, but the dealership got back to me saying that it wasn't possible to have electric wing mirrors without the aircon option. I didn't want aircon, so I couldn't have the electric wing mirrors. The configure your car on the Fiat web site didn't let you have electric wing mirrors without air con.

Do you get new tweeter covers for the doors when you buy the OE tweeters from Fiat as there are no holes for sound to come from. Also, if you fit aftermarket tweeters how do you get around this problem, surely you dont stand there for hours drilling out each little hole or am I just bring a thicko :(

aftermarket tweeters would be fitted into the plastic covers, not behind them, mine are screwed on at the mo, but I'm finishing them tommorrow so they should be sunk in nice and tidy.

I drilled holes in my plastic covers and the tweeters are sunk in (as 100hpJames mentions).
This is how it looks in my 100HP:

They look quite smart (y)

What are the little white dots on them , are they screws to hold them in.

I have mine up at the front of the cabin on the part of the door where the wingmirror adjuster would be (if mine had manual windows). (y)

I bought a set of two way fusion componants for mine, they're about £50 and come with all the attatchments needed for fitment, although I did order the speaker mountings online from bluespot.com, its not as complicated as it sounds, I'll explain and show you how to remove the door cards at the meet tommorrow if you like.
they do sound a lot better now, and louder :D hehe
