Angry Inappropriate Pandemonium

Spoke to Fiat UK who have told me that the Pandemonium kit is "inappropriate" for the UK market and that it would not be available.

What to**ers.

Can they not see from looking at the Mini's enormous range of exterior options the huge, and highly lucrative, market for customisation packs.

If they don't get their act together in time for the UK launch of the 500 they will be missing a huge opportunity.

Re: Inappropriate Pandemonium

"Inappropriate". What is that supposed to mean? Is it something to do with not wanting to upset the insurers? Or is just a lie and really they can't be arsed?

Perhaps then, a trip over the Channel if it can be retro fitted?

everything on the 500 mini site is geared towards customisation, its the big hook they are talking the car up on pre release....unbelieveable.....sheesh

I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

Re: Inappropriate Pandemonium

I'd love to get a new 500 next year when they're available. I'm just hoping they'll still be the cheapest of the Fiat family as they were originally.

A lot of manufacturers are blind when it comes to the lucrative profits they can make from modifications and accessories.

Why don't they look at the Classic Mini, I've lost count of the amount of mods and accessories you can get.

Re: Inappropriate Pandemonium

Hmmmm - inappropriate eh?

Well since all it gets you are red painted brake calipers, silver door mirrors (not always appropriate for all the colours available on the 100HP - especially white), a chequered stripe and some sports pedals, I think I'll just get some red caliper paint and maybe some sports pedals and do it myself. Not fussed about the other bits and pieces.

And hey, isn't it for the owner of a car to determine what modifications are 'appropriate'? All done in the best possible taste of course.
