Panda 100hp.What are You Paying?

Looking to get a new Panda in the New Year. I've noticed a number of people have placed orders for the new 100HP. Can I be nosey and ask whether there are deals to be done yet, or is everyone paying list price?.I also understand that the Panda range will be 'face-lifted' next year. Can anyone tell me when and will the changes just be cosmetic? Thanks.

Re: Panda 100hp.What are You Paying?

I'm paying for mine via finance, its costing about £204 a month, based on the £9995 price tag for five years.
the salesman also told me that there were no changes due for the panda as of yet.

Re: Panda 100hp.What are You Paying?

this appears to be the only official deal from fiat uk:

OTR £9,995
Deposit £995
Balance to finance £9,000
First payment inc acc fee (£120) £315.00
40 monthly payments £195.00
Optional final payment inc opt fee (£50) £2,659.91
Total amount payable £10,774.91 (actual total:£11769.91)
Typical APR 8.90%
includes free insurance for first year.......

or

Panda 1.1 Active
OTR (Balance to finance) £6,790
Deposit £0
First payment inc Acc fee (£120) £244.43
58 monthly payments £124.43
Optional final payment inc opt fee (£75) £199.43
Total amount payable £7,660.80
Typical APR 5.00%
All Panda models (excluding Panda Alessi) are benefiting from this exceptional offer.

based on the above a sport would be:

OTR(balance to finance) £9995
deposit £0
First payment inc Acc fee (£120) £308.61
58 monthly payments £188.61
Optional final payment inc opt fee (£75) £263.61
Total amount payable £11511.61
Typical APR 5.00%

if you can get the sum to finance down to £6000, that would give you monthly payments of: £113.22, and a total paid of:£10990....

maz, possible?

Re: Panda 100hp.What are You Paying?

My daughter was going to be paying cash. Dealer would not move from the £10k roof price. The price offered for her 2 year old Ford Ka was only just above top book. So he got told where he could put his Panda (pointy end first).

I think that's always been the way on the foreign websites, red and black a bit of an extra (substantially cheaper there though!). Oddly, a 100Hp brochure came through in the post today (not that informative to be honest, just an A3 gate fold) and white isn't listed at all, even though it's on the website.

On the subject of price, I see WhatCar? have a target price of £9,024. Don't they base these on real secret shopping results? If so, not a bad start on a car that has just gone on sale and looks like it will sell like hot-cakes...

I'm afraid that WhatCar really dont do that much research, it would be a mammoth task. This 9.75% supposed discount is the same as they quote for the multijet dynamic (and probably the rest of the range), and as most of US know, they are almost always available at a 25% discount, and occasionally, eg. last week, at discounts of up to 30%.
These sort of differentials are particularly large on Fiats, and rather make a nonsense of WhatCars depreciation rates, and therefore overall running costs. When I bought my multijet a few months ago, on my calculations, it was the new car with the lowest overall costs for 3 years/36,000 miles. WhatCar reckoned it was the Aygo.

I am working on a deal with a dealership on it. It looks like we will get an 8 in front of the price tag.

Re: Panda 100hp.What are You Paying?

Agreed, great little car but at those prices I won't be buying! Maybe by the middle of next year deals will be easier to come by. Is the rest of the Panda family getting a facelift next year?
