Warranty question

Hi all

I posted a thread a few days ago about the problem I was having with the Blaupunkt radio in my 2005 Panda Dynamic. The dealer has now checked the problem out and, as expected, it is a radio fault that is not covered by warranty.

The dealer quoted £200 to supply and fit a basic cd player but I was wondering whether I would be able to get one fitted elsewhere (Halfords?) without affecting the warranty as it relates to the rest of the car. I know I should have asked the dealer when I was in but I was in a bit of a hurry and the place was packed !

Does anyone know?

On my 05 Panda the dealer supplied and fitted a Sony unit for me, handed me the FIAT unit in a box and when I traded the car in swapped it back.

Your Blaupunkt radio problem is due to the internal software (typical blaupunkt!) however most Fiat dealers will do you a fitted Sony (etc) unit for around £110-120. (have sent you p.m.)
