Suspension - How much!

I'm sure the Panda would benefit from being lowered slightly to improve the handling and reduce the roll.
You can get spring kits for them, but coilovers are better.
However, how much would you expect to pay? http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/p...ecnumber=58940
I bet it's not that much!

Re: Suspension - How much!

Well, the limits are only determined by ones wallet aren't they

Coilovers are great for race tracks, but overkill for the road..if it was a car you'd go out for tracks days on then it'd make sense

I was unhappy with my car under braking, and also the car wallowing about like a drunken hippo

I've lowered mine by 30mm using the Eibach Pro spring kit, added a strut brace and I'm running Toyo T1s 195/55 R14 and its a very able car now, such a massive improvement from standard

It is so, so much better under braking, much more stable and composed on sweeping and tightening bends and I'm sure it accelerates a little quicker as well

My old Cinquecento was lowered 40mm on 195/45 R14 Pirelli P6000s and was a road going go-kart. Hard to describe just how quick that car was through the bends and turns. The Panda now isn't too far off, considering the increased weight (and inertia) and size. The back steps out a wincy bit sooner on the Panda, but it gives you more prior warning than on the Chinky.

I really recommend the upgrade - I'm adding some spacers next to widen the track a little, then I'm done. For now

Re: Suspension - How much!

Well I might consider the Eibachs at some point in the future. No chance of a strut brace on the Multijet as standard - the engine's in the way!
The weakness of the standard tyres as far as grip is concerned is well documented on here.
