Question Fuel Question....

I need to travel about 500 miles on Monday in the Panda 1.2 dynamic.

Can anyone give me an approximate for how much in petrol this is gonna cost me?

cruising on the mototrway, should take a tank and a half, must admit in close to 3 years, never done that much in a day! max i think was about 200-230 miles

Assuming that you get 45mpg out of it, and petrol costs £1 per litre:
45mpg = 10 miles per litre (close enough to make no difference)
10 miles per litre = 10p per mile
500 miles = £50.

As fuel is slightly (10%) cheaper than that, you can knock off £5, giving you £45. If you get more than 45 mpg, knock some more off.

basically i am driving from Wakefield (west yorks) to Sailsbury which is near hampshire... about 240 miles there and then obv i gotta get back too. i am off to pick up a new car, so infact i will need to fill up 2 cars on the way back! which is why i am trying to work out how much this is all going to cost me!!

why oh why couldnt we be like america where its like £1 for a gallon!

Shame you dont have the multijet diesel panda mine does over 500 miles on a tank full im getting 65-68 miles per gallon

Leave a little earlier and keep your speed down, 55mpg is possible. Even more is achievable if you are really light footed. My trip computer reads 3mpg over, so you can't rely on it until you have checked the reading against your own calculations.
