Panda sliding seats

Greetings:
I have spent several days trying to find out about the panda sliding seats.

Can anyone advise please does this increase the legroom for the rear seat passengers if so by how much. Looking at the conventional non sliding seat that seems to be as far back as it is possible to go!

I think in it's furthest back possition it is in the same place as a fix rear bench. The advantage of it is that you can increase the boot size, but obviously comprimise rear passenger leg room.

You can either make the boot space smaller than the normal bootspace or larger than the normal bootspace. I think that fully back there's about 5cm more legroom than on the normal Panda.

I took some pics and measurements of mine for some people before. They were however more interested in the boot space than the cabin space. They might give you an idea though. The pics are in my gallery. Any measurements I took are in the photo details. If you need any other measurements let me know.

We've got a Toyota Yaris which I believe was the first supermini on the market to come with one of these types of seat, and what was even better was the fact it's standard and not a cost extra option.

We've look at a Panda and said it would deffo need to have one because we have now got used to it in the Yaris and find it invaluable! With the pics above, the benifit speaks for itself, just ashame it isn't standard

...and to retro-fit in a car without sliding seats is VERY expensive via dealer (c.£900+!! ); and I suspect therefore finding in a scrapyard / ebay will be difficult / expensive too.

So, if buying a new one, for the sake of £200, well worth acquiring one that way

Thank you all but I think I am expecting something different. We had a diabolical smart forfour and its main virtue was that you could slide the rear seats right back to give the back passengers more legroom. I hoped the panda would be similar but not so.... back to the drawing board.. Thanks everyone.

The don't do the two together

I've ordered these and they look very good.. Quite sensible considering the size of the car..

I normally keep my boot at it's smallest. The pram I have still fits in the boot that way and it leaves loads of cabin space.
