Sport Button Self-Deactivation

Has any other 100HP owners noticed that when starting the car that the sports button isn't on?

I have the sports button on 100% of the time but a few times i have noticed it's turned itself off when starting the car.

Anyone else noticed this?

Funnily enough I have. Only seems to happen after my girlfriend's driven it though.

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

Not noticed it so far on mine, even if the car's been left undriven for a few days

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

Mine went through a phase of doing this when the car was brand new. About once a month the sport button went off and the immobiliser light came on and stayed on at start-up. Turning off and restarting as suggested in the handbook sorted out the warning light, but the sport button had to be pushed to put it back on.
Noticed within seconds as the steering was so light reversing off the drive!

Hasn't done it for probably 3-4 months now.

Mine does that too - not as often as it used to but still every now and again it does - the last time was only a few days ago.

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

I drive with the Sport button on 100% of the time - and I have noticed 3 times, when driving that the car felt unresponsive and vague steering - I looked at the dash and noticed each time that the Sport Light had gone out. I have never switched it off deliberately.
However, I have worked out why ! It maybe a coincidence but it has only happened after I have had to carry out constant full-lock parking - getting out of very tight spaces and 5 point turns in narrow streets. I am wondering if then, the car works out that you need lighter steering and then deactivates it automatically? It just seems odd that its happened each time .

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

When it happened last night the immobiliser light was also on, the same as what happened to HP.

Turning the engine on and off sorted things out though but I still had to press the sports button again.

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

It's happened to me too and thinking about it once was after a big steering lock turn so maybe its down to that?

Turning it back on and it stays on.

Also had the padlock light on knocking the sport button off twice in one day, only happend on a really hot day (air con on full, stereo on etc etc) and handbook said "voltage drop", maybe down to this?

Doing what the handbook said turning off and on cured it and so far not happened since with the padlock light coming on.

Probably another quirk

Re: Sport Button Self-Deactivation

Seems to be an occasional hiccup with them sometimes. Mine seems to have 'grown out of it' !

Mine wasn't after any hard steering etc., just after pulling up on the drive (lazy 90' right and stop).
