Hello,

I mentioned to some people on this Panda forum a few weeks ago about myself waiting for the arrival of my GSR Panda 100HP Induction kit. Well the kit arrived last week and sadly was not a straight fit as the breather pipe was in the wrong place ;) but not letting that stop me I replicated a custom breather which has worked a treat (more details below corresponding picture)...

I also worked with Peter at GSR to correctly identify where the breather should have been so that any future GSR Panda 100HP Kit is in the perfect place for a straight fit! ...

At the moment I am still getting use to the noise increase, you see the filter is in the passenger side wing and I think that amplifies the noise somewhat but it does have a bloody sexy noise, between 5700 - 6700 RPM it sounds like a Ferrari... No joke!! I have to say that the torque increase feels great and it definitely feels quicker mid range than it was bearing in mind I use Sports mode all the time, GSR are not working miracles with this kit but damn it is well worth the money!

As for the pictures... Enjoy, I have left the original air box in place so it doesn’t look so messy in the engine bay, obviously it’s not connected up! :D

The sexy orange hose looks great against all the black and grey (y) almost looks like a turbo pipes!! Not quite the same though!

I found the best mounting method to be 1.3cm Zip ties and Fiat included screws on the side of the battery holder and with a nice drill hole through a zip tie and a ni-lock nut it acts as a perfect mounting!

Yes your eyes are not wrong, that is a painted 90 degree copper bend pipe with the original breather on one end (had to cut it sadly, so to return back to standard would need a new breather hose from Fiat) and a Seicento Throttle body pipe cut to fit the other end with extra hole blocked with a screw! (y)

Hope you enjoy the pics

That looks really good.
I'm just not very technical so if I went for the kit I would have no idea what to do with all the parts that you said about in your post.
Also, I'm guessing you can get the pipe in whatever colour you wish, just I don't think the orange would go well with the white.
Thankyou.

Very nice adam, looks very well.
Out of interest how many miles you got on your panda cause ill be looking for an induction kit but want the engine well broke in first
Cheers

I do. And sorry for replying so late. I had a bad start to the week (father needed emrgency operation, friend of 31 years committed suicide and office burgled = no computer, machines etc,).

When you bring it back to standard I will sort the breather hose out.

Hi folks, now maybe its just i'm getting old, but engine bay.....SEXY.....????. Come on lets be honest, would any of you jump into bed with an engine??.:D
It's maybe the age thing again, but I would reckon that an induction kit being fitted, standard pipe work being cut and modified, and drilling holes will screw up your warranty big time. Plus you have got to take into consideration that any modification to the engine will hit your insurance big time as well.
I can't see the point in doing all this work to a new car, if it aint fast enough then why buy it?, if it had been me, and had found the car not quick enough then I would have looked at something else like the Fiesta ST.
Like I said above it's maybe an age thing, and I suppose it's each to there own. But i cannot but help worrying about the fact that your warranty and insureance could suffer due to the work done.

Tara for Now Ian

p.s. How did it get so dirty???

Hi Highlander,

Well Firstly, did you consider that I actually like the Panda 100HP? It was quick standard but whats wrong with wanting more from a car that I enjoy driving? And in which case we must think why then if you buy a new house do you change the wallpaper and decor.... because you personalise it.

As for warrenty, I am very friendly with my local dealer as I have been going there for years with my tuned Seicento's and they are well aware of the induction kit and their words where "you know not to worry to much about warrenty as we will always help you out here" also lucky for me and maybe not others but one of my very good friends dad owns a garage and he does the full Fiat Warrenty work for me and also the full Fiat servicing for £30 rather than £150 at Fiat and I get the same Fiat stamp that you pay £150 for!

As for insurance £23 increase a year for the kit declared!

Cheers

Adam

p.s.. I will get a sound recording up later or something!
