Anyone had problems with front brakes binding on a Panda Cross 2017 model. Ok when braking in a straight line, but if you have the wheel turned either L or R when braking you end up with a awful binding noise that carry's on for a while!!


Not contacted a dealer because no doubt be told "it's the way you drive", well in recent years when I have complained about certain issues with Audi, Merc and VW vehicles that has been the normal response hmmm.


Be interested if any other Panda Cross drivers have had the same problem, and if there is a reason and a cure.

Hi there, I am not aware of any front brake issues only rear brake ones being noisy when reversing. I had this repaired under warranty with a kit at the dealers. I would take it in to the dealers to get it checked out[emoji106]

No such problem with mine.

Mine do this too (2016 model), though perhaps not as bad as yours. When I approach full lock they squeak a bit. I also have one caliper that seems to bind a bit all the time, as I get a faint squeak when moving forward slowly from a standstill. The brakes squeak quite a lot when braking in reverse.

Had the fix done to rear brakes, complete cure.

Spoke with 3 different Fiat dealers and 2 said never heard of this problem. However, had a discussion with one dealer who said it probably needs a clean out for which they would charge £50+ vat per wheel!!


So not that I want to get under a vehicle anymore like when I was a lot younger it appears I have no option but to do a bit of d.i.y and maybe change the pads for some quality ones if I can find some.

That sounds like nonsense for a 2017 model, also for my one-year-old one with only 4600 miles on the clock.
