General Yellow triangle with exclamation mark.

I don't know if my memory is correct, bit I think I read a thread in the past, which said removing & replacing the fuse that is relevant to the stop/start,got it working again, but i'm going from memory, which nowadays isn't as good as it used to be.:D
Also we've been getting the T.O.D.recently & I was considering suicide, but it was the nearside stop light bulb:)

In the GP handbook there are a number of things in addition to the light check etc that this triangle could illuminate for, a few years ago prior to my ownership the triangle was on, the vehicle went to fiat, and there is a mention of the light but no fault found. Fast forward a couple of years and under my ownership when I had got the car pretty much sorted, i purchased MES, hooked it up, fault immediately identifies as oil pressure sensor, purchased a new one and on removal of the under tray, plugged the wire onto the sensor and put the brand new one in my spares box. 2 things spring to mind, 1- fiat dealer fault not found, couldn't be bothered to remove the undertray. 2 MES is a must it is brilliant. Can't think off the top of my head other T.O.D reasons but I am sure there where a few listed in a generic format in the drivers handbook.

My TA 4x4 had triangle this morning. Wouldn't go into 2nd and misfired. Came back home, looked in manual. It then restarted with no lights. Car 2.5 years old. Can't be stop start as dash suggested as do fair mileage and it still works. Bizarre. Just had oil change (0w 30 C3 oil, nothing reset) but had same on previous 4x4 and it was fine. Guess will just have to see if happens again.

Don't know if it's any help, but the MultiAir units in lots of Puntos and Pandas are throwing fits here in Turkey (according to local forums) due to a sudden two day drop in temperature (went from a national average of 27 to 14 daytime temp, night temps in some regions dropped below freezing from a 24 degree daytime temp). Some local insights have been that during their first start in the morning, the sudden temperature shift from the last stored temperature in the ECU means it's beyond the accepted calibration range causing the engine to run wacky until things balance out. As usual for our local yobbos, an Italian tuneup (revving the engine out once it's warmed up) seems to work.

Hmm...my problem still there after a year on had it scanned and nothing found..Still the Triangle comes on for a few days..i did a quick oil and filter change and no light for a week or so.Then it comes back..like a couple of days a go.I gave it a Spritied run down the motorway for 10 miles or so.Car is spot on as always. As i came off the slip road and geared down the triangle came on..Not that bothered it being scanned nothing found...

Have had this also with a faulty but still working number plate light bulb.

Same here, today! Bulb wasn’t faulty but was loose in the holder so when it broke contact it set off the yellow triangle. Once the triangle was lit it stayed on even when the lights were turned off - only went off when the ignition was turned off and then on again.

When I recently was listening for my tensioner noise I removed the auxiliary belt, on starting the alternator light went out as usual with the alternator stopped....... Work that one out!!!!

Car misfired today from cold. But must have had residual heat 5 hours later as was fine. So can probably rule out anything too horrific. Is it easy for a garage to test the lambda sensors?

Possible car back to normal. The triangle could have been error message for post oil change uniair relearn. Though never had anything like this with my 63 plate. Allegedly it can relearn itself. Maybe it's done it. Am back to foot to the floor in it anyway. :)

I have experienced misfiring and very very peculiar running on a few occasions. At first I was worried about it but have realised that there is some ecu involvement. It has never persisted and clears once the car is driven I think its up best thought of as a bit of an Italian thing. I have also noticed that you cannot rev the engine above about 3000 rpm when its not under load. I have never had this on ANY other car, but it still revs when I drive it and goes OK so I am not bothered if it behaves in an unusual manner...

Its character. (I hope!)
