It looks like it has hybridised with a Citigo.

Re: Nuovo Panda 2019.

It looks too much like the VW Washing Machine / Skoda Beko / Seat Dualit city car at the back.

If this is the next Panda then I'm getting a 500 or another Fiat that is as far away from German aesthetics as possible!

If the Italians can't offer enough flair then it's on to Peugeot / Citroen / Renault / etc. Even at the cost of easy-to-fix and proprietary parts :-(

Although the Up/Citigo/Mii trio were designed by a Brazilian and an Italian.

Though rare, some Italians with no taste often emigrate to Germany and find fruitful careers within industrial design ;-)

Re: Nuovo Panda 2019.

They really need to remember that the Panda is chic and cheeky, it makes you smile and it needs to be good to drive too. Produce something bland and I might as well buy a Kia or Hyundai as they are quite good value and with a much better guarantee. I suspect build quality may be better. The only query is driver comfort. I had an I30 for a while and the driving position was most peculiar though. In the end as a company car I refused to drive it any further as so uncomfortable on long runs.

Fiat ARE YOU LISTENING. A new Panda 100 NOW please. Abarth style upgrade would sell well I suspect.

Alas, I'm about to see if I join the deep well of Twinair regret that you have endured. Thus the old Panda 100 is up for sale.

Couldn't resist a pre-registered Twinair Lounge where the dealer fell asleep on their keyboard and pretty much all options were checked.

Nah, Alfa's -love em or hate em, are way too exciting and odd looking to share designers with the Germans

Re: Nuovo Panda 2019.

Just wrote a long response but it seems to have gone AWOL. I hope you enjoy the new car, it sounds like a good deal.

I think the ECU has a running in mode, as the change at around 3500 miles was so dramatic. Economy is still below reasonable expectation but, its clear the two modes have wildly different fuel maps and its not like just shifting a curve on a graph up or down when using the eco button, more like two totally different cars with totally different characters. Once you accept this its easier to understand that the same throttle position in normal clearly uses hugely different fuel delivery in the different modes. I suggest learn the car in normal mode and find the sweet spots and only then start using eco mode or it will drive you mad how you never seem to be able to get decent economy. The system is totally bonkers but if you understand this I think in the end you will master the thing. At east it goes quite well if you just cane it, but most of the time I want a compromise involving economy. Anyway enjoy!!
