General Nuovo Panda 2019.

BTW, with the end near for the Lancia Ypsilon, the next Panda could pick up a bit more sleek design from that. :D
A cross between those two cars would make a nice new Panda.
I'm looking at my Panda and it is those things. It's a bit chubbier than the last one - but it's still got that van-like profile. The pic you showed looked more like a sporty coupé.

Based on the last new Fiat's i would not be surprised to see a bigger change to the new Panda then just a few design upgrades.
If it, in fact will be Mobi based, it will change completely with a lot of Mobi design in it to keep the cost down.
So it will have a Mobi body with all the bold-on parts making the only difference between them.
Doors, fenders, hood, bumpers and lights would be different compare to the Moby.
Personally i don't expect that i would like the new Panda, but i hope Fiat will surprise me with the new one.

It might be a design that you grow to like. When I had my 169 and the Panda 2012 came out I was very disappointed. I now own one and really like it. Sometimes designs impress you from the start (the Panda 169 was like that for me - and the Alfa 159 (which, along with the Brera, I never get bored of seeing)). Others are 'growers' and some - well, I never get to like - Chris Bangle BMWs for example - shame really because I thought his Fiat Coupé was stunning.

Isn't the Mobi based on the old Uno platform, rather than the Panda/500 one? Would it not be a step backwards to use it for the next generation Panda? The Panda sells well (in Europe if not in the UK), and the 500 is hugely important as it has higher margins as a premium product, and the iconic design help sell the bigger 500x and 500L. Surely a new platform is justified for the next generation Panda and 500 rather than Mobi.

Panda is still the basic car for Fiat, so downgrading it to Mobi based will keep it cheap and affordable for a lot of people.
When the Panda will move to a new platvorm it certainly will be more expensive and will be less affordable for a lot of people.
In Italia the Panda outsell the 500 by 3 to 1.
The 500L and 500X are not doing that well either, they sell in low numbers.

I really can't imagine what to expect from the Next Gen Panda.
Fiat can't change it to much, or to little, because they could loose a lot of customers.
When the present Panda came along i liked it strait away.
But how will the next Panda look like, will it evolve in a Panda XL, as a 500L replacement that would prosper better under the Panda name.
Or would it go back to basics like the first Panda's, just inexpensive basic cars for the masses. ?

Renders of what the Panda 3 could look like when they where made.
But they could also show how the next Panda could look, with a bit more 169 design.

I'm really on a Crossroad, about what to do, i'm start to be a little bored about the Panda.
I'm happy i had a good insurance so that i could buy this Panda i have now, after i totaled the previous one.
But on the other-hand i want something different but don't know what.
Although i have changed the Panda to my liking again, i'm still thinking about looking for something else, because i don't think the next Panda will be any fun.
I have the feeling Fiat will make something cheap and simple to sell to the masses, loosing all Panda heritage.

The mini got bigger the 500 got bigger the panda got bigger. Why so many small cars get bigger when re designed. These cars and a small section would sell thounsands if they kept the orginal size.

Partly it's to accommodate the extra crash protection, insulation, sound proofing etc and yet still maintain a good sized cabin but cars ,also, don't seem to be as well packaged as they used to be. There's a lot of plastic intruding around the load bay in my Panda Mk 3 for example. I managed to fit a large padded armchair from a three piece suite, upright, in the boot of my old Mk1 Panda with the seats folded down and I managed shut the boot! Can't imagine doing that with my larger, current car!
