Is it just me or has anyone managed to get through to Fiat on the general helpline number (00800 34280000)?
I've tried from a landline and a mobile but it never connects. It looks like the number of digits is wrong.

Thanks.

It's an international freephone number.
Be warned that your telco may not view this as free. I know that Virgin Media will charge you on both landline and mobile.
Also if your mobile is set up to not dial international numbers it wont allow you to dial the number anyway (as was mine)

I found all this out on the A38 when my car broke down. I couldn't dial the number using my personal or company mobile.
The only way I managed was to phone my dealer and get them to phone the number for me and get Fiat to ring my mobile!!!
Everyone seemed to deny that it could be a problem and I never did find out a working number.
Just make sure you breakdown during office hours.:eek:

Just re reading my post I now realise its not actually that helpful for the OP:eek:
I've had a quick google and there seems to be a great deal of confusion about using a 00800 number; some can get through, some can't. Some get charged, some don't.
I've just pinged Fiat to see if they can supply a UK number we can use.
I'm going to start holding my breath now:devil:

I got through from a landline to this number ok, found them to be very helpful in Milan.

I tried my mobile again but I got a recorded message from my network (Three) which advised that I would be charged for this call, despite it looking like a "Freephone" number.
I contacted Three to see what the charge would be. 45p/minute plus an unknown connection fee charged by the number being called! On their advice, I managed to track down a normal landline number for Fiat Customer Services uk. It's 01753 511431.

I understand that if you get the ciao Fiat App on your phone there is another route to contact them. I have used the app and made written contact. I will get the dealer to demonstrate the emergency contact when I pick up my new Panda shortly and pass on any useful info. If it doesn't work, I will stick with the old Panda 100 and its RAC cover. This is a really useful post for me at this time, and I will find out and test the emergency number on Tuesday.

Well I did get a response and in fact they rang me to discuss, so kudos to Fiat (y)

It seems there is no official number other than 00800. When I explained that I have international dialing disabled on my phone, whilst they were understanding they could only suggest I re enable access or perhaps talk to my Supplier to get this one number enabled. I dont really want to enable international dialing from a security/ cost implication so I'll talk to Virgin.
I wasn't going to bother as I thought Roadside assistance would end on the cars first anniversary, but Fiat tell me it became three years for cars purchased after March 2016.
I could always use the 01753 number as mentioned earlier. Does anyone know if this is 7x24 or only business hours?
