Anyone driven/own one? I've been tempted to get another panda, theres none for sale locally for a test drive and I was just wondering how the new 95hp `engine goes? Is it a big improvement?

Cheers

Do they exist!!?! ? Did not know that they did as have looked before. The 95hp engine pulls well in our slightly bigger Qubo. Test drove the 75hp and yoy can feel the extra reserve. With the Panda 4x4 that will be an unstoppable brilliant drive if you keep steady on those corners. Perfect car for Ireland I know the roads well round the Wicklow mountains... .

I've been wondering if there's really anything significantly different about the 95hp engine. The new engine has more power, but is also Euro 6 emissions compliant, so unless there are new EGR valve gubbins and/or a bigger turbocharger, I'm under the impression that the older 75hp can be tuned up to 95hp if Fiat issues an emissions update to be done to the MJ. Then again, that's probably wishful thinking.

I read somewhere on here that the 95 has a variable vane turbo, the 75 being fixed. Likely some ecu changes but otherwise probably not much difference on them.

The main difference in 95hp version is the new and variable turbo charger. Here is Greece 10/10 of PANDA's beeing sold are diesel and all the test drive reports say that this updated engine is major improvment.....slightly better mpg-quieter at high speed-better acceleration-higher top speed

As a matter of interest, is there a tax penalty in Greece for driving a diesel car?

Not yet and the diesel fuel is 15-20% cheaper than Gasoline

In the UK, tax penalties for diesel cars are surely just around the corner and diesel fuel usually costs more than gasoline.

If you buy a new diesel passenger car today, I'd bet money that you'll be banned or priced out from driving &/or parking it in big cities across much of europe before it reaches the end of its natural life.

Supplementary charges for keeping diesel cars are already here in parts of the UK.
