Another 4 or 5 inches with a lot coming down this morning. A couple of action shots  as the Panda departs on a vital trip to the butchers!

Looks like the Panda is much more capable of dealing with driving on snow than you are of clearing it off the roof :p

I wouldn't want to damage the paintwork;). Plus it wears it like a badge of honour, 6 miles away in the local market town there was virtually nothing so it draws some stunned looks :D.

The Panda performance in these conditions is so unfussed you tend to underestimate them. Later on a 2 wheel drive delivery vehicle made it up the track (after some hikers told the driver conditions further up were OK:confused:). We spent a good 10 minutes pushing and digging to get him away with instructions not to stop once moving. During one push I slipped and ended up face down in the snow much to the drivers consternation and my son's amusement .

cant the cops stop you for driving with snow on the roof? or was someone joking with me about tht???

Whilst there is no specific offence relating to snow on a vehicle's roof, it is advisable to remove any loose snow before commencing your journey. If it slips over the windscreen, or flies into the path of another car, it could cause a hazard for you or another road user and could leave you open to being penalised for a number of offences, such as 'driving without due consideration' or 'using a motor vehicle in a dangerous condition'.

Before you set off

you MUST be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows
you MUST ensure that lights are clean and number plates are clearly visible and legible
make sure the mirrors are clear and the windows are demisted thoroughly
remove all snow that might fall off into the path of other road users
check your planned route is clear of delays and that no further snowfalls or severe weather are predicted.

Funnily enough my wife did report being followed by a police car but she said it seemed to disappear shortly after all the snow fell off the roof.:chin:
