Yes, a Cancan Red Twinair with Winter & Comfort packs, reversing sensors & rear privacy glass.

It was going to go for Tuscany green but having seen the Red one on the FMC stand at the NEC Classic, I had a last minute change of heart / mind;)

Delivery is looking like February:eek:

I'm migrating over from our stunning 500 Twinair Plus which will lead to man tears on the day:eek:

Cheers,

Pull yourself together, man. It's only a car.

Cheers,

It was a pleasure to meet you.(y)

That red Cross has really grown on me & the colour suits it much better than I expected - a good choice!

It's got loads of attention & all positive. Several people have been talking about ordering one - forgot to negotiate commission with Fiat!! :bang: A really well thought out car & I quite like the dashboard colour which a few seem to dislike - it really does feel 35 years newer than the mk1 Panda's, but it's still got a strong Panda dna feel about it.

Man tears don't count - anyway it will be a bit of grit in your eye........

Just got home from the Scotland Ireland match, a great night. Bring on the England match on Tuesday.
ITS GREAT TO SEE YOU'VE TAKEN THE PLUNGE AND WENT FOR A CROSS.
CONSIDERING YOUR NAME & PICTURES, RED WAS ODDS ON FAVOURITE.
IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, RED HAS TAKEN THE LEAD ON THE ACTUALLY ORDERED FRONT.

I THINK THE RED REALLY WORKS WITH THE BLACK & IT HELPS CALM DOWN THE GLARE OF THE TOW HOOKS & GOES WITH THE FIAT BADGE & THE WHEEL CENTRE COVERS. I WISH THE WHEELS WERE OF A MATCHING SILVER TO THE OTHER SILVER BITS.
I STILL THINK THE BLACK CROSS WILL BE FIATS BIGGEST SELLING CROSS BUT THAT WILL DEPEND ON IF THEY RELEASE A LIMITED EDITION ARCTIC PANDA CROSS WITH CUTE POLAR BEARS ON THE ROOF & DOORS.
I THINK FIAT DEALERS HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG EACH CROSS ORDER WILL TAKE. I THINK IT COULD BE AS SHORT AS 8 WEEKS BUT THIS WILL GROW AS ORDERS PICK UP. SO LETS HOPE ITS AROUND MID JAN FOR YOU, AND THE SNOW ARRIVES THE NEXT DAY.
I REMEMBER THE DAY MY 127 1300GT GOT TAKEN AWAY ON A TRAILER. IT WAS A VERY SAD DAY.
WEIRD THAT ALL CARS I'VE HAD SINCE, I'VE BEEN GLAD TO SEE THE BACK OF.

make sure you look after that red paint and all that plastic if you intend holding onto the car.... doesn't take long for 'fade to grey' and a bottle of T cut required on red.

You won't regret it. I came from the same 500 to a panda 4x4 ta, it's a much better car in many many ways.
The only way the 500 was beats it was cornering actually I reckon, and the obviously better mpg. I lost about 10%. Worth it though.

The 500 clocks are better too, talk about contradicting myself! :D

I'll get my coat!

Does anyone know of any dealers who have them in stock i.e. not as demos? I was told a few months ago that Fiat would be bringing in a stock of yellow launch-spec ones for the launch, and that they would be available off the shelf, but my local dealer only has his demonstrator.

CALLING ALL 4X4, TREKKING PANDA 2012+ OWNERS:
How's your black door cladding and the rest of the visible black plastic bits holding up, looks wise.? Anyone treated their black bits from day one and have got themselves good results?

CALLING ALL CANCAN RED PANDA OWNERS:
Hows your paint doing?
Am I correct in saying that CanCan Red is a new Red that came out with the Panda in 2012? I havent read about CanCan Red Panda owners being up in arms about the red changing to a sun bleached red after its third summer. I haven't seen any pictures of bad examples. People assuming that all modern fiat reds fade to a pink is like every narrow minded person assuming all fiats are rust buckets that spend more time being fixed than driving.
I think CanCan Red will do just fine. If, over time, it doesn't like the sun, then my one will be less bleached, as up here in Scotland, there's truely not that many boiling hot really sunny days during the summer.
Or we can do as elephants and hippos do, when it gets hot, go play in the muddy water and throw some earth over ourselves.

I was up at Westover Salisbury during the week and parked outside was a yellow diesel Cross and a green Cross (not sure what engine).

I do not know if they were demo cars or not.

In the showroom, by the way, was an Antarctica complete with penguins. I was surprised to see an unused one of those.

I guess if the car is kept for less than ten years then most paint jobs will be fine, I think anti-UV polish is certainly a good idea for not only the paint but also the black plastic.... thats what I've been using on ours since day one ZAINO.

Can't say it loud enough as I love their range of products.

Also put Waxoyl on the underside too... my thinking is to prep it for the long term.

My dealer has access to a black one with tinted windows in addition to the yellow one on display. They offered it to me earlier this week.

Well, after reading that Cancan red is actually Alfa Red (289/A), the same soft rubbish that's on my Brera, I've switched back to Tuscany Green...lol

Not liking the sound of that.
Where did u read this? What's so bad about your Brera's paint?
I can't change my colour but it could also mean I will have the only pink panda cross in 7 years time. Might add value if young lasses still like pink.:p

I've not read it, experienced it, along with hundreds of other Alfa owners :(

289/A is awful paint. The lacquer chips easily & peels.

It's fade resistant , very much so, but would never go pink as will be chipped off long before that.

So its the crap lacquer I have to worry about then. The black and the white have the same lacquer. Maybe the yellow and the green use the same lacquer.
If the paint gives me any problems in the first 3years then its fiats problem.
If I have long term plans for the car then maybe a couple extra coats of lacquer are required.
Where did it peel on your Alfa?
