Just returned from Chorley Motors (Blackpool) the Fiat main dealer after the two-year service on my Panda TA. Whiled away the time on my Nexus (free wi-fi and coffee) and they did the job in one and three-quarter hours with a vacuum clean and mini-wash included. Total price was £151 which doesn't seem too shabby after some of the quotes mentioned on here.

Although it was said to be a full scheduled service, there's no mention on the sheet of brake fluid, or pollen filter or plugs. The car has only covered 7.5K miles, although they gave me the quote of £151 over the phone without asking the mileage. It got the usual "health check" and software reset/update along with the oil and filter change, but otherwise it was probably pretty basic.
Can't knock them on efficiency, though. Quite refreshing.

Oh right, fair enough - thanks for confirming.

If it's not stated on the sheet then I guess they didn't do it. Really though they should have done it if your car is now two years, it does say this quite clearly in the service manual.

Am no expert on the technical side of things, but I do understand the fact that brake fluid will eventually start absorbing moisture over time, hence why it is a time-based service item rather than mileage-based.

Up to you of course, but I would challenge them about this, particularly as your car is still under warranty.

Further to this I have received an e-mailed report of the results of the health check
and amongst them is "boiling point of brake fluid" which is shown as satisfactory. This could be done by conductivity probe I imagine, and will effectively measure water content and any other degradation products. Much cheaper than a fluid change!
