General Best deals on 4x4

It's definitely £2300 - as confirmed to me by the Fiat person who administers the scheme.

It's a sweetener for the finance deal, but it's described as a "dealer contribution", so you might be able to negotiate at least some of it for a cash purchase - although it may well be that the dealers get some additional financial support from Fiat if they sell on finance.

Just got the £2300 contribution to help the wife get into a new 500 in spite of it saying otherwise in the PDF that comes from Fiat every quarter (British Cycling member). I would definitely push for that amount.

Hadn't realised that the £2300 contribution also applies to the 500 - did you have to press hard, or did they roll over?

The salesman wasn't going to entertain my discount at all as he reckoned it was for me only. Took the intervention of the sales manager sat at her desk next to him to get it! This is her third car from them, I've had two and the father in law has had one off them. Shouldn't have been so hard and I think the manager realised and took over. Any way sorry for the rant, as you were

I've just had another look at my Privilege Scheme brochure, and it shows a deposit contribution of only £1750 for the 500 and 500C, so you did very well, my son! (y)

One main dealer called me today offering the panda 4x4 at 11995, ex demo no miles (any colour or options you like if you want to wait on delivery).. Seems Fiat may be having a clear out or dealers pushing for big September sales bonuses

A white ex-demo 63-plate 4x4 TA at Hartwells Abingdon has been
on their forecourt for sale at that price for a couple of weeks,
though it's presumably got more than just delivery mileage :(

It seems to be sitting around, so they may be open to an offer ;)

Make sure you're aware that the affinity scheme price is £11950 for the 4x4 TA - details of how to access are earlier in this thread.

That is for a brand new car so no previous owner and no additional mileage. You can choose any dealer, any colour and any spec (though clearly that adds to the cost if you don't stick to base spec/colour) - just thought I'd point it out as an ex-demo is worth less than a brand new car for the same price! Sorry, I got Hartwell's price wrong  it's actually £10995. Still not shifted,
so someone make them an offer!

I was prepared to order a 4x4 TA on the Privilege Purchase Scheme but my local dealer said while the £2300 deposit contribution was available on all Trekking and 4x4 models the low rate (0.9% flat rate) finance offer, as illustrated in the July 2014 price list, was only available on the Antarctica not the regular 4x4 which he claimed has attracts a flat rate of around 4%.

Does this sound correct ?

The cheapest interest rate is on the trekking has lowest interest rate but for 4x4 you only get the low rate on the Antarctica.

We just ordered a Penguin one for that self same reason (and the options included).

Ps. though if you take a PCP over 3 years instead of the 4 they quote you will save a boot load in interest payments too so overall, although your monthly payment is higher, you will pay less for the car in total.

PPS Don't forget the deals also change each quarter and 'supposedly' the best deal was historically on the third period due to new reg. When I looked through the internet I could not find a previous deal, over several years, that offered a 2300 contribution... so it may drop back next month to 1750 again... who knows.

Hi, I've been following this with interest as I'm looking to pick up a 4x4 soon. Can someone tell me if the 4x4 has cruise control please?
Thanks

we were waiting on the cross to come out for that same reason... looking for a deal on it.

But to be honest and it's only feedback I got / my opinion... it seemed unlikely that you would be able to take delivery on a new Cross before November and even then the likely-hood of the 4th quarter Priviledge deal offereing something earth shattering on a brand new model was in my opinion quite slim.

I figured we should jump in now to get the 2300 deal and then could always switch into a cross once the 'heat' of the new model launch had cooled down a little.

... not sure what your opinion is but I do think that if I was launching a brand new model like that, which is a little unusual... then there would be no need to give it away until market response at launch was gauged.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

The new scheme details will start from October so within a few weeks you will know what is on offer.

Any of these deals/contributions/schemes work on a new cross?

You'll need to get someone to speak to the scheme administrator - if the cross is now orderable, it will be possible to find out what is on offer via the affinity scheme. I did this for the 4x4 when it was first launched, as it wasn't on the list immediately - and yes the discount was significant even though you couldn't get anything off via the dealers! (y)
