Didn't want to dislike your post: but have to agree!

Nice wheels, though. (Maybe if it was black, specced with all the red add-ons -- e.g. roof-rails and mirror-covers, etc. -- you could pretend it was a new 100 hp...?!)

They just do (what, to me, is) a smart-looking car, absolutely no favours whatsoever. Looks like something the Teletubbies would drive.... ;)

I really miss my Panda's 13" wheels...

Low-profile alloys are great for looks and cornering, but horrendously impractical for city driving...
 
I really hate wheels with a lot of open space on any car. And going three inches taller isn't doing the car any favors. It's not doing your backside any favors either with the harsher ride. The only time that lowering should be done is when the wheel arches are too tall for the wheels and that's not the case here.
