Hi,
I currently own and love a GRANDE PUNTO SPORTING 1.9 MJET. I was more than happy to keep it until I drove the PANDA TA. I kept thinking there is no way that tiny engine would put a smile on my face the way the MJET does. How wrong I was. I had a test drive of about 90mins, I didnt want to hand it back.

My question is If I get the techno pack does that mean I get the leather steering wheel aswell. The fiat dealer said yes he is NEARLY 100% sure I will. (he is phoning fiat to find out), but I have seen on here the little video of a rubber s.wheel with the buttons. It was a left hand drive tho.

Has anyone been told what is what by a dealer.

Hi bustermonkey1,

Just had a look on the configurator and I'm not entirely sure you do get a leather steering wheel with the Techno Pack.

The one that you get with the £400 Techno Pack option does indeed have a leather trim around the buttons for the Blue&Me system, but at the same time there is also the Leather Steering Wheel & Gear Knob option under Styling on the configurator for £105 - just tried now and you can spec both together.

I think you would need to spec both in order to get the leather wheel, but I agree it is a bit confusing!

Thanks for the reply. I agree,the options are very confusing.even 2 fiat dealers I have been too havnt got there heads around it yet.

Hi!

We had to order the leather steering wheel separately -- on top of all the other gizmos we ordered: including B&M (which sounds like something out of Fifty Shades of Grey...). :confused:

Sadly, because it's a Dualogic, we don't get the 'benefit' of the leather gear knob -- even though we had to pay the same price, of course...! :(

It's definitely worth it, though: the placcy one is nowhere near as nice; and the leather one (which was on the Panda we test-drove) was one of the nicest wheels I've used...! (y)
 
Thanks for the replies. After waiting four days for the dealer to get back to me about the steering wheel, I spoke to FIAT UK direct. After two dealerships and three different sales people ( one a manager ) saying you CANT have the B&M buttons in a rubber s.wheel, FIAT UK have 100% confirmed YOU CAN. Like people on here have already said so. I told the dealer I am ready to cancel my order, he was shocked and asked what he could do to sort it out. I am going to speak to him tomorrow or saturday face to face, see what they offer me.
