Does anyone know the difference between a 86-91 and a 91-03 clutch cable the part no's are completely different but don't know if they are interchangeable?

If we leave aside the LHD models, there appear to be three cables listed for 86 to 91 and two for 91 on. I only have three examples here to compare so I cannot give a definitive answer as to interchangeability.

Of the two post 91 cables, the overall length is the same, the only difference appears to be in the size of the eye end at the pedal end.

The one pre 91 cable I have here is about four inches longer overall than the later cables and has the larger diameter eye end.

I can only assume that the later cables are shorter in order to avoid contacting the brake servo/master cylinder assy.

If you or anyone else reading this has a 7658432 or a 7680757 to hand, we could make further comparisons.

When I changed the engine and box in the 'Rat I left the old pedal box in and used the original clutch cable so the length is the same and the gearbox end is the same.

I'm not in a position to compare the pedal end though. The original engine was an 86 pushrod and it now has a 92 FIRE engine and box.
