Lowest mileage Panda

Hi all

I've just found this Forum and thought that I'd add a bit about my Panda. It's not the lowest mileage, but close.

It's a metallic grey (would now be called silver!) 1000S and was registered in February 1988, so is 19 years old this month. Current mileage is 29947. Its definitely genuine because I have owned it since new. That's 1576 miles per year. It all looks pretty good for its age. All year round garaging helps.

Has been a great car for us; I say us because it's the only car for a family of four. Obviously we don't need to drive every day. It's been all over Britain but never abroad. However of late the trips have become shorter but more frequent. I think that the average mileage is staying similar though.

OK, 1985 45CL, 18,451 miles, ~838 miles per annum, beat that.

I forgot I posted them there pictures a while back, saves me the trouble

It had less than 18K on the clock until recently, when three of the motors were suddenly off the road for various reasons, over a two week period.

It had an interesting trip to Machynlleth last week with four adults in it and never missed a beat, although fuel consumption increased to ~50mpg from the normal driver only ~61mpg.

There is a slight timing chain rattle but I'm getting a quote to get that sorted.

What a rare beast

Some weeks ago I promised some pics of my 1988 1000S. So here they are . The Panda now has just over 30,000 miles on the clock.

Thats what i was thinking, but seems a bit much for that. I dont know, i just used string to hold mine on lol
