ok got the trekking out for maiden run great fun now the hard bit painter said nearly mint car small mark on door no problem, sort tailgate out minor chip damage but will paint it all we'll have the job right oh don't forget y'll need a new lid for the front looked ok to me keen bugger hollow in a few places neer front edge so will order one in the morning. Now the problem wiper linkage to front wiper blade will take a childs eye out if left, ie goes past the piller and would manage the bonnet if left any longer this is a left hand car you will all remember left hand linkage required:confused: do I need to sort one out when I go to germany in Jan07:cry: or can/could I adapt a British one probably not but will need to know soon:worship: Now for my last question been working on Urchins old skateboard changed n/s/f wheel bearing brake disc back plates no problem my mate felt sorry for me :cry: so I sat and watched dam cold though,he changed the gear shift post that bolts to the gear box, gear stick much better but can I still get the nylon bushes ie one's in the ball and socket joint if I can has anybody got a part No.?my Fiat parts man is off work following surgery on his hand, and his mate's have no idea about Pandas they think the all life in zoo's and are black and white.
 
I checked parts numbers for wiper linkage... numbers are different for lhd and rhd

funny though.. I'm also off work following surgery on my hand. (hope he hasn't lost pieces like i did.:( ).
 
Allen - i don't understand your post , was the guy suggesting something was wrong with the bonnet ?? sorry, maybe i'm just being a bit thick ....:eek:

Ok, the grammer is a bit creative Allen but i'm not one to throw rocks... so like Gina i m agoing to have to guess a little at what it is you want to say...

you took it to the body shop... they said they'd sort out the door and the tailgate but you'd have to order a new bonnet... OK, that's good.

the wiper mechanism sounds like a mk1a has been installed... I mated a mk1b arm with a mk2 motor... it's geometry isn't the same... the motor turned too far for the mechanism... I have no idea if the wiper mechanism is placed on the left (if looking from the front of the car) of the engine bay or the UK right side... i suspect a part can be sourced easily if you require a Euro spec part...

the cush/bush is part number 4259848, i order 4 this september... they're fairly cheap... cheap enough so that i didn't worry about it. I keep a couple spare just in case...

Not just you Gina, I don't get it either :confused: Could you clarify what happened please Allen, then more people will be able to help you :) Here's some full stops in case you run out...............(y)
 
Ok I will have another go switch wiper on the wiper blade is going well past the glass as if to much play in the linkage...:) and blade is banging its head on the rubber in the other direction..:) So it appears to me the arm is being allowed to move to far in each direction...:) ans please:cry: and now a new question Lindas selecta burst rear a flexi pipe today car ok oh Linda fine to :D how hard is it tot replace,, do I need a pit or can I do it on my back in the cold :cry: any offers :worship:

easy job allen for a man of your capability. ring me if you need advise mate
 
:) Hi Posh he pointed out some hollows in it to most people you would not see it but he's a car painter and yes a few areas are hollow but to do a perfect job will need to be replaced. Filler sinks over time not a problem :) she will look good when finished got a air scoop today just for the effect off:D a sisley :D will take photos as work is carried out. Rims painted and now fitted with nice tyers street legel looks great.:)

I need a new wiper linkage for my left hand drive trekking does any one have a eper number for it I know they fitted both numbers would be great please and cost what ever I will have to pay:cry:
