Hi,

My Panda is playing up, it's a 1993 1.0 litre fuel injection. It is a real pig to start & if/when it catches it barely ticks over until you coax it into life and then when it's idling it coughs and splutters then starts to idle too fast then coughs and splutters again, when driving it falters and misses as you apply throttle and lacks power - with my foot right down I'm stuck at 50 mph. It's been suggested to me that the catalytic converter may have gone does anyone have any advice on whether this is likely? they are expensive things to replace! Thank you.

Regards,

Ralph.

does the injection light show when this hapens?
i had a similar problem when i blew up one of the twin coils on the head, the inj warning light comes on and it goes into limp mode, no power, and it crawls along. check HT and LT off the coils the the usual culprits, then check everything else is secure
