Splutter needs a new front bumper (I'm thinking of a proton one... Don't ask but see this... https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=48934&highlight=panda+proton LOL! I got caught out with my insurance company today... "No really, it's not a proton!" ) and was looking advice as I'm fitting the one of the spares car on Sunday. I believe at some point Splutter was up for ten pin bowling with wheelie bins (well, the front bumper looks like!)

I've never done it before (I'm a bumper virgin:devil: ) and other than spray lots of penitrating oil on the bolts has anyone got advice after having done it?

I'll do a search on here as well but I thought I'd ask first and then post up some photos afterwards of the finished job.

I'd start with the side bolts and if getting to the front bolts is proving to be a pain... drop the bumper supports also... and dissasemble when it's all off the car.

Thankfully the side bolts have long since detached form the body due to someone playing bumper cars with Splutter...

Off course the spares car is still firmly attached to the body:(

have you got an angle grinder?

Jim I just fitted a new fron't bumper a couple of weeks ago as long as the side bolts are loose they will slide out. I got new mouning brackets for the front & back a total of £40 approx. The main bolts were very easy to remove just use a good socket one of the nut shaped ones not the multi splined ones or it will round off the nut easier.

Alan, can you post a picture of the old brackets, as i fancy trying to fabricate some :)

When I replaced my bumper I painted the brackets and the bolts and used stainless steel nuts to the next persons job easier.
