Ok Moved rear axle back 30mm to allow for full profile tyres.

I moved the axle only 10mm to the back, the same cause, but smaller wheels. 185-14 aggresve wheels will destroy the gearbox{ few even small offroad jumps with wheels not touching the ground for just a sec. and while landing/touchng the ground again with gas pedal still engaged the tensions between wheels movng free and those with grip will kill/mill something ,the same story while crawlng on 1st with gas pedal on in deep mud, with some object in the mud that suddenly gives a grip/traction to one of the wheels, there is no central diferential mechanism between axles in panda :( } . From my/my friends experience any wheel bigger than 60cm {in diameter} will soon cause the gearbox cover or flange to explode or the propshaft to twist :) be prepared=start gathering spare parts :D

ps: all those mishaps with bigger wheels combined with 1.2 8v punto engine.

Well if a viscous coupling inserted in the drive train will deminish shock loading on the rear axel as there is no central differential we think
There are many 4x4 rally pandas out there ,where a viscous coupling must be employed. ???

I'm aware of one rally 4x4 (R.Thiel) and Si is 4x4ing his turbo Marbella.

This was our thought about the increase in torque of 35% at the wheel
Circumference design of the original system would probably allowed for 150% in design calcs. An un damaged prop no scoring from rocks or dents therefore should not fail ,the loading on the box are more critical
Pandik fitted over size wheels probably larger and wider than 185 r14

Discuss !!!

Any way. Who cares

Who dares wins !!!

Handbrake set up has been progressed.

It's looking rather steam punk!

Pandik tyres were 195 80 r14.

Never mind the bloody paint, I just want to buy it when its done.

I keep getting too enthusiastic looking at the pictures, if you know what I mean

Well this could be a prototype for something bigger and better.
A whole lot of knowledge under our belts now. Don't know wheather to do a secrecy clause
Just with close ups not giving much away !!!! Mmmm let's see
What next winch yes
Tail gate any guesses what's happening there. Freddy knows !

Ok ad how about a mid engine 4x4 using the punto hgt mounted side ways feeding a front and back diff. From its drive shafts. Mm m now that would be tasty
