I have a 1987 Fiat Panda 4x4 in Texas. I struggle to find parts. Can any one tell me where I can buy and have shipped to Texas the drivers side door window? This is not the British version this is the original Italian version so depending on where you're at it may not be the driver side. It is the door on the right-hand side as you face the front of the car. I just broke this window and I need to replace it please help.

Hi and Welcome.

Door glass is the same on both sides driver and passanger and for RHD and LHD as well.

Pardre Giorgetto Giugiaro main objective was to make things easy and simple even 30 years later.

JimMagill - Jim have you got any US contacts who can help PandaCan?

I got it when I was living in Vicenza Italy and I love it. Here in America it draws a attention. Resourcing parts is the only issue. The Fiat dealers here in America won't touch it because it was never sold in America. I think the kilometers and Celsius on the dashboard scare them.

Hi
Great to know the panda lives on in USA as well!
I could find any parts in Italy and most seller send overseas
I got a thread "panda parts request" just post which parts you are looking for and I will try to find them for you
We need more pics of your car!

Well the list just got bigger. On my way back from the parts store to buy a cigarette adaptor so that I can plug in and power my GPS I rear ended some one. Very disappointing and sad. But I would like to say that after loosing all radiator fluid she was able to drive home another 25 min in busy stop in go traffic. Ran like a champ! I think it's a tank at heart. So I have Less than 30 days it fix it and drive 450 miles.IMG_1503.JPGIMG_1512.JPG

If you listen to this video at about one minute and 15 seconds and one minute 25 seconds you will hear a high-pitched squealing noise is this my wheel bearings? My phone is laying on the floor board behind the driver seat.

Ok I guess I can't attach a video. I will try to make a YouTube account and then attach the link this might take me a while.

Do it AndyHoly's style aka. Remove front bumper, find a big three trunk, tow rope and do the magic.

I think that's exactly how I'm going to do it. I have to figure out how to open the Hood/bonnet first. Don't worry there will be pictures and videos. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Lumek
Re read his post, I think he means drivers door window and not the rear!
Dave

Thanks Dave! I need the door glass though and probably a lot more parts now. If you got the stuff I need how do you want paid, pay pal or something? Let me know!

You've found the best resource :)
lukmek can find almost anything. Shipping to the US is relatively quick and can be sent via UPS/FedEx from Europe quite easily. A pattern left wing and new bumper (fender) should be under $100, it's just shipping and time.

Any of the forum members will have a garage full of parts 'just in case', just post a request in the Parts Wanted.

For the 'can't figure out how to...' Dragon Man, VmanC, or kolza have been so helpful to me in keeping Scrappy the 4X4 going, but I've had support and guidance from many more.

Thank you for being a US Panda Ambassador :p

So I figured out the YouTube thing. Above is the link. You really only need to listen the first two minutes of it but you hear it often on during the whole video. There's a high pitch squeal noise you'll know it when you here it. Trying to diagnose the problem. Please help O' Gurus of the Panda.

Sounds like prop shaft support bearing as the noise is really high pitch and I would say you can hear the noise is amplified by resonance inside the prop shaft tube., but make sure its not fan/alternator belt.

Were there any relations between the noise and :
- engine RPMs?
- vehicle speed?
- acceleration / deceleration?

Re the front panel.

Here is Snatch at the chassis jig

There is another 4x4 in the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee,US. JimMagill took it across, he have revisited States recently with his red 126 and actually there was one 'looking abandoned' panda spotted in customs depot/yard. Would be nice for you to use it as donor.

Looks like I need to drive up to Lane motor museum in Nashville Tennessee. Maybe my Panda can visit so it's not so lonely. [emoji3]
