Couple of things -- the rear wash wipe problem (where water dribbled out when the car was going up a steep slope) has been fixed by putting in a genuine non return valve rather than an eBay 'generic' type.
That leads me on to my cry for advice...I got the non return valve from an eBay seller in Italy ...trouble free, fast transaction....previously got the rear spring top caps from another Italian eBayer (less troublefree but still not a lot of hassle, just dragged on a bit...Italian holiday I think) .
After ordering the top caps I subsequently found Partsworld could get them for me (a bit more pricey but not prohibitively so). Am looking for any thoughts from more knowledgeable Panda owners on the need to build up a stock of spares...is this necessary?...are some bits getting hard to source?.....what bits are prone to pack up? Are electronic bits reliable / hard to source?
From my messing about this last 9 months or so I reckon all 'consumables' ..brake pads / filters /shockers etc. are readily available & easy to find but other things seem a bit more hit & miss & waiting for bits from Italy for a week or two isn't ideal. Am I just complicating things & I could just get stuff from a Fiat dealer?
I was wondering about hoses / coolant pipe (a Panda I had years ago needed one replacing) as a starter & building from there...but where to stop!
Any thoughts welcomed....car's a '93 1000ie Cat by the way-

You never know really, whatever you have in stock will probably never be what breaks:mad: Personally I just sit huddled over ebay like Gollum scrolling through bits and buying whatever looks to be surprisingly cheap "just in case". The only reasonably regular fails which are hard to lay your hands on now are the rear suspension arms - bushes go and the arms themselves rot and few places seem to have them:

Usual practice however is just to buy another Panda or 2 then you've always got one to borrow bits off while you're looking.. for another Panda to get the bits off to put that one back on the road..and so on.

arms & bushes ...never even considered those..though from previous MOT fails I think they must've been replaced on mine at some stage but will check & stock up Thanks for the link... Don't know whether to thank you or not for the donor Panda idea? Already a pain in the proverbial getting cars out of garage / drive..if only I had a barn.
