Just bought my first panda - but they have been in the fam for a long time.

Car runs a Beaut, but when I start up and press the accelerator I get a load squeal from the fan belt. It comes and goes as I press and release the accelerator, what can be the cause of this and how can I go about fixing it? Fan belt looks pretty new...

EDIT: just to add also, it stops happening when the car warms up a bit.

you just need the fan belt tightening up a bit.. if its the 999cc FIRE engine (over head cam) you just need a 16mm spanner and maybe a bar and hammer to knock the alternator downwards to take up the slack.
