Should we start getting excided already?

edit; any body interested in driving home through Hundersfield - Crosland Moor airfield - The Northern Retro meet/ show.
All depends how long we're going to play in mud.

I'll probably stay in the mud as long as possible, after all I'm paying for it! I may not be from Yorkshire originally but you pick up some habits...

Two weeks to go now so an update is well overdue!

Today we have been out and done a run of Saturdays route, we will heading out to Buxton and doing a short run round some close by lanes. The weather today was glorious and I hope it is similar in two weeks time.

As we have a large number of cars again I am hoping to split us up into smaller groups of around 4 cars. I'm hoping this will help prevent unwanted attention and prevent one large traffic jam of Pandas!

However to do this I will need some volunteers to lead the groups. Any takers? Directions and maps will of course be provided! AndyPanda4x4 has already put his name in so I will need three more I think. kolza andyholli??

Sunday is what I'm really looking forward to, two weeks ago we attended the pay and play site for a recce:

Whilst lots of the site will be a no go for a Panda due to it being heavily rutted with plenty of large boulders (see above!) there will be plenty to go at. Cost for the day is £25 per car. Please make sure you bring cash as they do not take cards!! If anyone just wants to spectate I believe there is a cost of a few pounds to do so. There is a catering van on site, and we can stay until around 4pm if we want to.

It would be handy to know the total numbers for camping so if we can organise a list that would be ideal, hoping to have BBQ and tea making facilities as last year as well as latrine access!

Also if there is anyone who is only coming on one of the days please let me know as this will help with Saturday.

I will be sending out the address and directions to the meet point the week before, I think most of you came last year so you can hopefully remember the way anyway!
Freebo no problem with the camping, see above for the pay and play site info. Any more questions anyone please fire away!

Photos look great - looking forward to it, but..

Snatch needs further engine work to iron out miss fire, driver's seat isn't due back from the upholsterer for another week, MOT due before depart, girls have cried off and pod is full of junk and has a flat tyre.

- So a shorter list than normal with two weeks to go...

Happy to lead a grouplet, if all of the above goes to plan.

Cheers Freddy.

I don't have CB as yet, but can lead in required.

Small tent for us, if Friday evening arrival is an option we still consider it as I love saussage and beer so much.

Can maybe lend you my CB if it's working, not tested the replacement unit yet but it's magnetic aerial and 12v plug so can swap to your car.

Thanks Jacob, that is excellent, I wouldn't worry about CB radios too much, I won't have one!

Is there anyone else who would be willing to lead a group?

Friday late afternoon/early evening arrival is fine for anyone camping, if there is a few of us we can head out for something to eat as last year.

List for camping so far:

AndyPanda4x4 and Sam: Sat Only
Zizzeddu: Fri+Sat (+Sun?)
andyholli Yes the lightweight is fantastic, the perfect vehicle for yesterday's trip. It is in dire need of a mechanical rebuild on a new chassis, but cosmetically it is just how it should be.

Hi Freddy, should be able to confirm within a few days weather me and the 4x4 will come l. My Panda has some nice paint on it at the mo and I'm very protective over it, as you can imagine, what are Saturdays lanes like? I'd imagine I will take a miss on the pay and play, prob camp one night, Saturday. Thanks. Michael
