Is it about the right time to go on the scrounge? :)

If anyone has any of the following items, let me know what you want for them:

- Orange front indicator lenses
- A passenger door mirror that hasn't turned white like a fossilised dog turd
- A rear view mirror that isn't full of mist/condensation/ghosts
- Bonnet cable and associated springy return thingybob
- Whatever is supposed to stop the passenger window winder just falling off when it feels like it
- A Mk1 metal front grille (yeah, I know...)
- Interior light cover
- Air filter box in good nick as mine is a bit knackered
- If the accelerator pedal ever has rubbers, one of those too!

Oh, and a magic unicorn would be nice too! :)

With reguards to your rearview mirror. Mine was very dusty and misty, so i just took it apart and gave it a good clean, almost like new. Give it ago if you hadn't already :)

Stickers sorted, actualy the design as i'll print them tommorow.

Tried with clear polyester as background first but will go for white.

I can help with some as I'm going to spending a few evenings in the garage getting the car ready (I hope!)

- Orange front indicator lenses Yep
- A passenger door mirror that hasn't turned white like a fossilised dog turd Will try but unless I have a new one they do all go that way
- A rear view mirror that isn't full of mist/condensation/ghosts These can be taken apart and cleaned/exorcised
- Bonnet cable and associated springy return thingybob Nope, sorry
- Whatever is supposed to stop the passenger window winder just falling off when it feels like it - C clip? Glue? Perhaps the winder is the solid bit and it's the car that's falling off
- A Mk1 metal front grille (yeah, I know...) Yeah, you do! I don't have one but some might..
- Interior light cover Easy
- Air filter box in good nick as mine is a bit knackered Will check
- If the accelerator pedal ever has rubbers, one of those too! They do, but I don't, sorry

Oh, and a magic unicorn would be nice too! :) Ah, that's easy. What colour?

Just thinking ahead to car prep (I'm early I know) and re-reading Andy's preview posts warning of what's to come..
After the rain we've had, I'm wondering if a refitting of the snorkel is a good idea..? Along with packing the wellies and not bothering with replacement prop shaft bearings until after this pair have swum their last river..

What's the news on the state of the lanes mate?

This is a good question!

Well although all of the lanes are a hard wearing, rocky surface there will be flooded areas which can be passed through but one of the lanes had a river on it - I think this may have to be left out if the rain up here carries on as it is. There is a plan B for this operation though, we won't be going home early.

The forecast for Saturday is light showers so far, but if the temperature stays this low then we may be looking at some snow - don't hold your breath though, I am no Michael Fish.

Prepare yourselves for wet and cold.

If anyone has an old lower door hinge drivers side it would be useful as a cat has taken up part time residence in Fizzle!
I took the door off for the hinge for the colour, if I can get a hinge, refit the door and evict the squatter the old lad will at least be waterproof for the reshuffling of the pack next week!

Think the one I took off is still in the scrap bin, I'll see if I can dig it out. It was for the white CLX btw(y)

Hope you all enjoy the weekend. I'm sure you will. I enjoyed the last one but couldn't do this due to clashing with my regular December weekend trek up to Rosedale Abbey and then Whitby. I'll not be in the 4x4, Marea this weekend.

Have Great fun. :)

Hi Vin, we've stopped in Rosedale many times in the past, had some good times around that area. Wish I could be at the meet this weekend, will be thinking of you all and hope you have a fabulous weekend?

Rosedale Abbey will be probably visited on the Cost To Cost event, so two birds with one stone.

Hope everyone has a great time - plenty of pictures please! (y)

I was hoping to make it, but wasn't to be. A mixture a too much work, not being well, and now a very ill elderly cat, firmly put the mockers on it sadly. :(

Next time though - hopefully there will be another one! :)
