General FYI: Wheeler Dealers next Monday

Must be another Wheeler Dealers "Magic of Television" thing. The number of times their cars sell to people on the show who have been extras in commercials and soaps and end up back for sale after the show was aired is probably just coincidence.

Bought by a dealer - back up for sale as they hope to make a quick buck on the back of it airing last night! Definitely sold externally on the back of the original EBay listing. (y)

That makes sense. A dealer bought it from the show, waited for it to air and everyone can see how crap and bodged it is the advertise it for a massive mark up.

I'd make an offer on the car but I doubt £600 will be accepted. ;)

Cheapskate! I bid £1000 when WD still had it - for some reason they took the £2500 instead!! And I suspect I had a lucky escape........ ;)

I bid £800 when it was still silver. :(

Poor car.

"One owner from new"

One owner plus: Mike, Ed, half a dozen production team players, the eBay trader, however many extras they hired to test drive it for the show... etc... etc.

It would be worth more if it wasn't ruined.

Has anybody had a good chance to have a look around this car at all? Bob/Gav did you see it at the off-road event? I will be watching the episode tomorrow night did they show some good shots of any body repairs that had to be done?

Gavin and I saw it at the workshop before and after the offroading, according to the program there was no bodywork needed and the doors were magically sorted. That paint they use could hide a multitude of sins.

Supposedly solid underneath. We didn't find out what happened with the frilly door. Lots of the bodywork was supposed to be poor, but it was already covered in that green sandpaper paint when we first saw it. You could still see some of the dents, but no rust.
