Just thought I should start a thread for this one now it's in the fleet and I've got keys to drive it (stupidly left them in another car at Freddy's for a week).

I've put a couple of new speakers in it, the Alfa seats from fizzle and took the Gommers off until they are called for.

I put the old seicento steelies on that graced Fizzle for a while, certainly has quietened down and speeded up travelling on road.

Mum visiting with the Alessi - which started the whole orange car obsession off!

Why Henry?

number plate ends in CVL = CaViL (NOWAY was he going to be called cavalier) but naming him after the Brit actor Henry Cavil who played Superman seemed less embarassing! :0

I don't like the later grille John. Have you tried the correct one, as I think it will look better? It's probably just me - everything else looks good! (y)

Yep, I have a brand new grille to go on once I find it somewhere in here;

This picture is almost perfect.

How are the neighbours? I hope they can put up with a Panda sanctuary. :D

Neighbours are fine, one is 98 and senile the others are a friendly couple, one who takes motobiking holidays so no problems so far!

Excellent.

And I need 4 new 185/65R14 winter tyres please John - what brands do you have in stock? ;)

Wow, so is orange the new red :p :D we won't have any trouble finding your place on Google Earth now that's for sure!

Is the roof rack from a berlingo by any chance? Looks very much like one I had on my old van a few years ago (y)

Yes cut down Berlingo rack.

I'm a big fan of orange, so is the one of the local bus company's, though they put tiger stripes on them!

It's not too good to off-road and has been built with rockslider sills so I should be able to give it some proper wellie :D

I did really like the "anas Panda Van" in Italy which made this purchase a must have for me ;)

I had a trip to Dragon Man John on Saturday for a few additions.....

Something under the bonnet

Returned the air filter to original and who knew it has more power than when fitted with the KEN one!

.

Next mods planned are new interior and seats as the colour took the Grey alfas!

Really pleased with the ex-englebert front bar, it looked a bit top heavy with the roof rack, could do with some nice black decals now too!

Looking good John.
Bonnet mounted spare was a feature on 2CV Saharas and 4x4 Meharis, plus of course some of those Solihull things too.
Does the front look a bit low now.. does it need a lift kit..? - and, obviously, as well as the 16v.
Now that the old spare wheel space is empty, I've been wondering what to put there too. - How about your multi channel amp for those 6x9s and then a sub in the boot..

Those rear shelf speakers from the old Cinq are powerful enough for me without a sub Andy :)

A little lift at the front would probably be handy though the tangoed terror is parked on the down slope and the rear springs are custom jobs which push it's backside in the air.
Have you the correct springs and bolts in stock Jacob?

Not thought about the sump guard to be honest, the one on it did a good job at the 4x4 meet though a few extra bars should do it at some point in the future Andy.

We were going to fit the tow bar but the rear bulge that it fixes too has been taken off to make a jacking point for the jack - He's no original jacking points due to the rock slider sills.
A little mod of the tow bar is needed to work around this, not really a priority as I don't have anything to tow. Though I do have Fizzle, I wondered if an engineless car could be 'A' framed legally? I'd need all the length to make a CaraPanda for my large frame!

Yes, both in stock.

Have you seen this trailer John? Is it long enough for you?

Up to total weight of 445kgfor trailer and load you will be fine.
If you passed your driving test before 1 January 1997 then you will most likely be entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer (braked) up to a combined Maximum Authorised Mass (MAM) of 8.25 tonnes.
