I'm going to be picking up a new speedo housing as both halves of my original have been butchered. I've removed the top half and the speedo. Do I have to remove the stalks and column surround to remove the back half? If so I can't work out how to get them off. Any help much appreciated :)

Also did the tailgates ever come with a trim to cover the wiper motor etc?

Andy will be able to answer you how to undo the stalk as he've done one on saturday, tailgate sisley trim should be available of him as well.

No you don't have to removed the stalks and column surround (y)

Only the Super and 4x4 from memory (y)

How do you you get to two of the three screws as the column shroud is in the way?

Sorry, my bad, I should have read the questions correctly  I though you were just after the front section, but yes for rear the stalks needs to be removed iirc.

To do this there is a brass looking 'O' ring that needs loosening, an Alan key in from underneath, there is a hole under the steering shroud that it should pop though to loosen off. You loosen the Alan key bolt and the whole thing should pull forward then (y)

Brill, I've got that far but was worried about pulling it off as it only seems to move so far

Hello did you guys manage to get it apart ok in the end? The dash main section can be removed along with the dials without removing the steering column shroud, but it is tough especially if you have big club hands like myself.

If you need any bits give me a shout
