Fantastic, great to have a mk4 coming:D I've also been told today that we will have a journalist coming along who will hopefully be writing an article for one of the classic car mags, no pressure:eek:

At least one Freddy! I'm aiming for 3, but one definite so far. (y) Plenty of pressure if you get 3 competing for different publications..... :D

We will be looking for people willing to let Richard loose with their cars - he'll want to take photos and do some driving for an article in Classic Car Weekly. Ideally mk1 but mk2 will be fine, and my mk3 will be available for any comparison work and as a camera car (might not be quite as bouncy as a mk2!!). I know Richard and he's no Clarkson - he's a really genuine chap (have to say that, as he does appear on here at odd moments! ;) ) - no seriously, he is a perfect gent, and will absolutely respect other people's vehicles, and not be a silly sod. My Sisley isn't really right for offroading at the moment, hence the mk3, but I'd have no hesitation in letting any of the 3 I've invited use my car.

I'm hoping some people will be happy to lend a car at different times over the weekend, to help them with any articles, and of course you get to see pics in print - also I'm sure we'll be able to get photos, which are likely to be significantly better than most of our snaps with camera phones! (y)

Sounds great. Very happy to let Richard loose in my Mk1. If he's handy with the spannering as well as the journalism he can help get it ready! :) :D

Excellent, thanks. Didn't realise it was nearly ready! Wouldn't mind a go myself......! (y)

I suspect Richard probably isn't the right person to help you. He'd write an excellent article on what he watched you doing though. ;)

I should really bring my tent...Thing is I've only used it with the 750 or the MK1 what with them having hammocks. Does anybody have any tent experience with the non hammock interior of the Sisley??? I can't imagine it is as comfortable. Surely the parcel shelf will be a problem??...

It would be a shame not to use it, but I do enjoy sleeping.

I last used it at an annual 'Autosh*te' gathering...

Palio did in his Sisley at Panda Camp 2013.

I slept in the tent bit, or more exactly didn't sleep! It's not recommended, as I found it impossible to stop the wind blowing violently through its bottom - you know what I mean!!!

It looks good, but really wasn't good to sleep in - you'd end up just in the driver's seat if you tried to sleep in a mk2, as you can't fold things the same.

Yes we used camp beds in the tent section, it was fine for a couple of nights. (y)

James from Practical Classics will also be coming along - he'll be severely jet lagged, so we'll need to be gentle! (y)
