General terra pandarisation

Parts are arriving almost on a daily basis.
Have now got,
4 wheel centre caps
1 new headlight
front bumper (in transit from Malta)
4 mk1 steel wheels (in transit from Italy)
metal grille (from Malta)
rear light lens (from Germany)
new drivers door (from Italy)
Need another headlight
wing repeaters
outer air vents
time
new tyres

Haven't been able to use this lately as the mot expired and it had no chance of going through with the rust it had on the outer sills both sides at the front and a load of work on the drivers floor and inner sill.
Have fitted my new continental rear light and altered the wiring so I now have 2 fog lights.
Will post some pics sooon

Only just read this list sorry...but do let me know if you find extra time and I'll buy some off you as well

Sounds like you're making good progress with the parts sourcing though. Looking forward to seeing the pics. I also have a continental rear light to convert my Panda to have the same tail lights both sides...although I'm not sure I went for double fog lights...might have opted for 2 reverse lights with the intention of adding a single fog in the centre of the rear bumpber...

Been busy getting it welded up for the mot which I have booked for Monday 22 June.
Had to weld inner and outer sills which doesnt sound like a lot but all takes tim to do a good job rather than plating up.
I think I have sorted out the exhaust blow which was where the downpipe wasn't fixed to the manifold properly.
Need to swap some tyres off of my sons car and put the drivers seat and door back on then hopefully it will be ready.

late update.
It failed its mot in June and is now awaiting its turn to get get treatment.
I am busy with my sons Panda and a Talbot motorhome at the moment so this is just being used as a shed now:(

Has been in remote storage for about 3 months now:(
Have managed to locate the other mk1 style headlight.
My daughter may use it as a valeting vehicle so will carefully remove the interior so she has some storage. Probably get side and back door windows tinted for security.
Have bare metalled the new front grille and coated in etch primer.
May paint the van Ford frozen white as I have some spare.
Need to trailer it back home to finish the welding. In the meantime I can prep the replacement bonnet and bring the new drivers door home and prep that too.
Would like to do the paint prep myself then get it painted at a bodyshop.

Picked up my powdercoated mk1 steelies last week.
Grille has now been painted with high build primer.
Started prepping my mk2 Panda bonnet it has a few dents and a frilly front edge.

This is what I have been working on lately.
I bought it from Italian Ebay back in the summer and as a temporary measure clear coated it to give it some protection whilst it was fitted. As you can see I have bought it home stripped it to bare metal and repaired the dents it gained whilst in transit and storage.
I have given it a coat of acid etch primer then it will get a coat of high build primer then fill a few small dents then more high build then do the inner face to bare metal etc.

Sounds like you're doing a thorough job.:slayer: I've used that acid etch primer as well and seems to be quite good. I've not put it to the test of effectiveness for corrosion resistance. I also use the weld through primer even on bits I'm not welding as it's very zinc rich.

Yeah I use a weld through primer for pretty much everything. If I do a chassis repair I usually spray it where I can inside the cavity then paint the inner surfaces of the repair to give it a good chance of lasting. At £20 an aerosol it's not cheap. The acid etch for the door was body shop 2 part. Then I have primed the door with 2 pack high build. I've used cellulose before but it's too thin.
I have an air fed mask and take all the precautions I can when using 2 pack

Still been working on this door in my spare time.
Stripped to bare metal the inside of the door etch primed and 2 coats of high build.
Seam sealed the door edges tonight.
Pics to follow soon.

Still in remote storage.
Needs a new radiator now as the original has burst some how.
Bought some more nos bits yesterday
Steering column switch in brown,
Inner dash vents complete with the p.v.c liner things,
Also sourced some older style nos centre caps that are fixed by the wheel bolts.
My new plans for the van are for my wifes dog grooming buisness to use as a collection and delivery vehicle.
