Hello everyone!

I'm pretty new to this so please bear with me.

So here it is my first Panda "Stubbie" been waiting a long time to get one of these!:slayer:

More on the stuff I've been busy with. First of all the exhaust had a few holes in the the downpipe so that's been remove but while removing this it cracked the exhaust manifold, so i'm currently on the hunt for one of those.:bang:
Next was that smelling interior from the leaking sunroofs! I removed the seats and cleaned them(picture to follow soon), and fixed the leaking sunroofs with a bit of rubber silicone sealant did the job. While the interior was out I got a good friend to weld a couple of patches in the boot due to the rust taking place.
The rest of the jobs had been simple things like replacing the rear light due to it falling apart and the hazard switch sticking.

i'm in need of a many parts first on list is the main things like the exhaust manifold and wheels as one of my original 4x4 wheels having a great big hole in the side. If anyone knows where I can get these parts please let me know as any help is always a big help.

Thanks you for looking and still reading if you've got this far. :):worship:

First the good news. I have numerous bits of Classic Panda parts. I broke a 4x4 and have a Tacchini awaiting to go to a scrappy due the dreaded rust. It is compete with a good exhaust. Engines and boxes(999cc and 5 speed).Bad news for you is that I am in Stoke on Trent. Please feel free to ask if you want anything.

Hail! Welcome to the forum! always nice to see a new panda and driver join up :)

those sunroofs do not look like the fabric kind. are they glass? its pretty simple to stop them leaking if they are. on the glass its self you will have a screw go through it on the handle. these over time slip causing the sun roof to not clamp down enough.
undoing the screw and positioning it so it has more clamping down power will fix it.
did this on my Sisley, "Talon". his sunroof may drip sometimes, but thats normally due to condensation.

twin glass sunroofs.. nice..

the exhaust manifold from a mk 1 punto 55 ,60, or 75 will fit the panda 4x4 so long as it is the "twin downpipe" type.

hmm 4x4 wheels.. now i remember reading a while back that you could buy these new! some one else will have to correct me on that though.

Welcome to the forum :)

Nice panda, love the twin sunnies, I have the single one which was leaking, I had to bend the hooks that clamp it down and dry the seals with an old rag.

You can buy the wheels brand new off eBay for about 35 quid a wheel, it's on the parts world eBay store.

Only downside is they are silver rather than the cream ones

Wicked Cheers everyone. Just asked the seller if there gonna be back in stock. If anyone else knows of anywhere else to get any 4x4 wheels or manifolds please let me know. Many thanks:)

I've lots of bits from partsworld, if you ring them direct they will probably have stuff that isn't listed for sale.

Last time I spoke to them they had problems listing their inventory online as there is so much stuff, they bulk buy direct from Fiat!

Hello Everyone, Just a Project update.

So before the summer gets into full swing and work begins to get busy again I've been busy with Stubbie on my days off. :worship:

So First i Decided to try and stop this dreaded rust in the worst areas first.

Underneath the rear seats was disgusting from the leaky sunroofs so out came the soundproofing and in the bin it went!

Rear seat belts mounts were very crusty so a lick of paint sorted that out.

Nearside jacking point before.

And after. You can also see the previous welding it's had done in the past.

Finally just by the Battery was also alittle crusty.

once i had finished with it!

Now for some good news I've just ordered a new down pipe which is due in the next coupe of days (Hopefully) , also some new little things are in plans over the next few days. :D

So for the not so good. The brand new Panda 4x4 wheels on the ebay are now sold out and i've been told they cant source them anymore and aren't available in the future (n)( For now):bang:.

So any suggestions of replacement wheels? Off road style or even road friendly alloys all suggestion appreciated.

Many Thanks People of the world... :worship:

Looks like you are making some good progress on the Panda already.

I should have a spare 4x4 wheel if you are still interested. Actually got a complete rotten Sisley if you fancy one for spares:)

Hello people of the world!

i have a project update with some good news and some that sounds bad:eek:

So First of all its been a busy day first i collecting the following parts from another Forum user, who was very kind and nice to see and to see more fiats which was a very nice surprise. :)
Exhaust Manifold
O/S Sisley Trim
2x 4x4 steel Wheels
Interior Light
Rear Seat Belt
Boot Strut.

So in all my excitement i went home and got fitting these parts! (expect The trim that's for the future.

First i Painted the exhaust manifold and downpipe (which arrived yesterday):worship: Just to protect it for the future.

While that was drying i changed the rocker cover gasket as damm there was alot of oil leaking!

Next i went onto the interior, Only a few little things first the interior light! Ahh that's better...

With the seat belt I got, I simply took off the press button and placed it on my Sisley belt. Just need to find one more now. Oh almost forgot I cleaned up the rear seats they came up well!

Finally it was time to fit that front exhaust system!

Sounds much better but as with any project/old car you fix one problem and you find another. So with the exhaust fixed I can hear abit better but that now leads me to what sounds like the gearbox banging and light grinding when i ease of the accelerator.:bang:
While it was on the ramps I had a great good look around the gearbox and seeing what looks to be a slip inner CV! Great!

Thanks for reading everyone. All help and knowledge is welcome.:worship:

a split inner CV boot?

well, i would replace the boot and just stick any oil in the gearbox (any oil is better than no oil)

if everything after that seems fine, then try to source the correct (or near to correct) gearbox oil.

with any luck the sound you hear will just be the clutch release bearing or maybe just some rust built up on the flywheel.
